Now what about these objectively disordered men, going after adult seminarians?

Do you think THAT is OK?
That is always a matter of judgement. Remember, Mankind is objectively disordered since the fall of Adam. Those who are not tempted by same-sex attraction like to make that seem the most serious of all sin, as it is in our nature to avoid our own disorder.

However, the nature of seminary today, and the scandal that has come since the sexual revolution of the sixties has made it imprudent in the eyes of the Church to have such men as seminarians, even if they are as celibate as those with opposite sex attraction.

Yes, we need to hear from Pope Francis, but the pope who so frequently speaks off the cuff has chosen to remain silent on this topic.
Just the same way as he did to the five dubia that Cardinals Brandmüller, Caffarra, Meisner, and Burke presented to him some years ago.

Cathoholic to pnewton . . . .

Well so were these guys going after the children.

And the “judgement” of THAT is . . . . it’s wrong.

.

Do you think it is OK for the bishops and the priests to be homosexually pursuing the seminarians or don’t you?

(This is not a difficult or trick question pnewton.)

Of course not. It is an easy “no”.

So?

Cathoholic and Billy15, thank you for the kind words.

I do not know if I would have become a priest or even had the courage to attend seminary, but I know for a fact that particular vocation director quashed any chance with his accusations and lack of support and charity.

Fortunately for my (still) home parish, we have had a wonderful orthodox priest for the last 12 years. He has been a Godsend, literally. The parish is thriving and actually has increased Mass attendance with many young families and babies.

The current vocations director actually was the guest priest at our parish the last two weeks and I was impressed. Two marks of good priests in my experience are how faithful they are to Humanae Vitae and often they preach for the need for the Sacrament of Penance/how frequently they offer it. Fortunately for my parish, this holy priest offers the Sacrament three times a week (even though I go to other parishes where they don’t know me).
