They are declaring victory, in short. The fight is over, per them, and Obama is victorious. I hope they are wrong. Catholic faithful should maintain solidarity and faithfulness and loyalty to church and her Bishops.

Well you can’t say NO ONE batted an eyelid. I almost fell over when I heard that and it has been a theme of one of my favorite radio hosts, Dennis Prager. Dennis is a devout Jew and sides with us on this battle. He sounded the alarm before Obama was elected. He said if you love something or someone you don’t want to TRANSFORM it. You might want to improve it, make it better, but not fundamentally transform it. What would your spouse say if you told them you want to fundamentally change them? Are those the words of love or arrogance? I know better…

But you are right, people were hypnotized by Obama. Falling in love is a chemical reaction and I think that is what happened to so many people. He made them FEEL GOOD about themselves. Look how cool I am, look how open minded I am, I’m voting for a (self described) black man who is into “social justice” (a term that makes me gag and too often used in Catholic circles). Aren’t I wonderful?

He told us what he was going to do…“We are five days away from fundamentally changing the United States of America!” Why didn’t people listen to him and see what he was? I thought he was a stuffed shirt from day one, in Texas they call this kind of guy “Big hat, no cattle.” I couldn’t fathom anyone voting for him if they truly love America. He doesn’t love America. He loves HIS vision of what America could be with his wise counsel (gagging sound).

The sad thing is that our Bishops and many of our fellow Catholics were taken in. He’s like the poisonous snake in the story that begged a ride across the river from a kindly frog. When he got across he bit the frog who asked "Why? The snake said “You knew what I was when you offered me a ride.” Some of us knew what we were getting with Obama. Let’s hope more realize this and vote accordingly.

I am with you, that from day one I believed he would be a disaster for this country. He was too smooth to be trusted. It is really a tragedy that our bishops and many fellow Catholics were fooled by the wolf under a sheep skin. At least the bishops seem to be awaken up by the HHS mandate blow. Let’s pray all fellow Catholics would return to their senses also.

This is the Chicago Way! Favors for funding! Not only is this a disgusting display of one sided politics in the truly life and death aspects of women’s health but demonstrates that the Obama administration is easily bought and paid for.

One thing I wish K-Lo would do in future pieces is stop using the term “Pro Choice.” It is NOT pro-choice and they have made this very clear. They should say Pro Abortion/Contraception and call it what it is. They do not want ANY choice unless that choice is death.

Obama HHS ‘Adjustment’ Endangers Liberty of All
Paul Rondeau, executive director of American Life League, issued this statement regarding President Obama’s announcement of an “adjustment” to his HHS/Obamacare mandate that all insurance policies must cover contraception, abortion inducing drugs, and sterilization for “free.”

"In the midst of a firestorm he himself created by dictating abortion funding via private insurance on religiously affiliated organizations, Obama’s solution is to expand his abortion funding scheme even further.

"There is no such thing as free insurance. This ‘adjustment’ means that every man, women, and child with private insurance is now forced to subsidize abortion drugs, contraception, and sterilization just by paying their insurance premiums.

"The danger in dealing with the visions of the self-anointed is that they come to believe that they are justified in forcing their will on the less enlightened. In President Obama’s case, that means everybody who disagrees with him.

"This is not only a slap in the face to Catholics and a violation of the rights of all who hold religious or conscious objections. This president’s obsession with abortion has led him to betray his oath of office, the United States Constitution, and the citizens of America for whom he works.

There is no political party whose doctrines coincide with the teachings of the Catholic Church. All political parties try to pretend that they are more Catholic than the others, however, because they want your vote and your money. The Democratic party defies the Church on abortion, birth control, sterilization, work and taxes and many other issues. The Republican party defies the Church on economic and class issues. Neither of them is completely correct; both are flawed. The libertarian party is even more flawed, as the founders were atheists as are some of the basic precepts of the party.

The answer. You have to look carefully at each party’s offerings and vote against the one that, under the circumstances in any given year, is the MOST offensive. This means voting for the least offensive one. This year, it’s definitely the Democratic party that’s the MOST offensive because they’re after us, tooth and nail. They’re out to destroy us, despite our differences of opinion. They have just as much blood lust against a liberal Catholic as they do against a conservative Catholic because they’re both Catholics. They hate us. All of us.

Has the Democratic party tried to fool liberal Catholics by kissing up to them? Yes. But they’re not kissing now are they??

If this mandate goes on, liberal Catholics will pay the fines just as much as any of the rest of us will. In addition, liberal Catholics who work for the church will find that their jobs may disappear. The Church will not employ extra people at the cost of $1500 each in fines. Liberals had better think carefully on this one.

Great article and this says it all to me:

In the process, the leaders of the American Catholic Church fell prey to a conceit that had long before ensnared a great many mainstream Protestants in the United States – the notion that public provision is somehow akin to charity – and so they fostered state paternalism and undermined what they professed to teach: that charity is an individual responsibility and that it is appropriate that the laity join together under the leadership of the Church to alleviate the suffering of the poor. In its place, they helped establish the Machiavellian principle that underpins modern liberalism – the notion that it is our Christian duty to confiscate other people’s money and redistribute it.

This is what the Left thinks. I have been among them when they talked about state and federal budgets being “a moral document.” Huh?

We (people of faith) have reaped what we sowed by abdicating our responsibility to the state. And we shouldn’t wonder why the state, happy to have power, is howling at the thought of being reined in.

As a convert, I am not up on Cardinal Bernadin but his words were sadly pretty chilling. He sounded more like a Democrat operative than a Priest and this argument is constantly being used by the pro-abortionists to bolster their case. How said we gave them the ammunition to shoot us.

Yes, the lines between the parties have changed in the last decade or so. And in fact, the characters of the parties are changing as we speak. It used to be the case that Republicans were more moneyed than Democrats but of course this isn’t really true anymore is it? George Soros is a Democrat, for instance. {This was BEFORE the alignment of the Republican party with religious groups.}

And Wall Street, of course, is now mostly Democrats, believe it or not, just like the other corridor of power, the national press. Wall Street is how Democratic presidential campaigns are being financed now, and why there was so much financial payoff during the financial crisis of 2008-2009 by the Democratic party. I’m still waiting for my “bail-out.” 🤷
