Archbishop Sample installed as Archbishop in Portland, OR

Wonderful, thank you. Our past Archbishop was a holy and dedicated servant but didn’t get involved in sacred music to my knowledge. Our current Music Director is wonderful and apparently has this letter for guidance. Our previous Music Director was brilliant and talented but a little too much of a rock n roller. We would do the Gloria that sounded like something from the set of HeeHaw Used to drive a bunch of us nutz!

I attended an ordination mass there at the cathedral in 2010. It was wonderful and I heartily recommend it to all Catholics. Each diocese has its strengths and weaknesses and a strong, charismatic and decisive Archbishop can greatly direct and revitalize the faithful. I believe that very good spiritual leader has been chosen for Portland.
