Are bikinis always sinful?

“Slutty too?”

Oh I see. You mean slutty, like me, huh?

It is your decision entirely what you want to wear. And if you made the decision to change your wardrobe or to only wear one pieces to the beach, than all the power to you for doing what you felt was right.

What I don’t like is you looking down your nose on other women who, in your opinion, don’t dress as nicely as you, and going on to call them or their clothes slutty. And then making the rash accusation that most men are going to lust after every women who wears a bikini. I’ve lived at the beach my whole life, and about 90% of the women there wear bikinis. By your theory, that would mean that the majority of men at the beach are in a constant state of lust. Uh huh. I don’t believe that for a second.

We also have to remember that natural attraction and actual LUST are 2 distinctly different things.
Alright this is getting out of control. Think what you want, and I’ll think what I want.

I don’t want to go starting a fight over something so dumb. Wear what you want, Ill wear what I want.

Agree to disagree. Geez 🤷

Right, and lustful men are reeeeal mature.

More rephrasing: However, I don’t think walking around practically looking like a comic book geek is a smart thing for a real man to do. He should know better than that, because it is obvious that most jocks would mock him.
If you were by any chance bullied as I am assuming you were by how you worded your posts, I’m sorry they treated you like that. You’re right, they were wrong to do that. Anybody is wrong to bully.

You’re right, they were wrong to do that. Anybody is wrong to bully.
And anybody is wrong to lust as well. Please keep what we just discussed in mind the next time you feel compelled to use this argument:
Wearing a bikini will more than likely cause others to lust after you. Why would you want to induce somebody into a mortal sin? How could you not feel guilty about that?

I do not see them in the same light, but alright. I guess we can also agree to disagree. 👍

I agree. Our culture has become so de-sensitized as to what is modest and what is not. Keep those bikinis (and immodest two piece suits for that matter) on the store racks where they can do no harm.
Hi Kathryn, I think the same could be said for men in speedos. 😉 lol

I wear a modest bikini :D. I do have a good reason for choosing that over a one piece but that would be TMI. My intentions are not to seduce men and I don’t parade myself around after I get out of the water. I always put a cover-up on. Its not as simple as one piece = modest and two piece = immodest.
Modest bikinis and modest swimsuits are okay. Those also show a lot of beauty. 🙂

Personally, I think it depends on the type of bikini and the woman wearing it. I personally won’t wear bikinis but I am not in shape at all so I wouldn’t look good in one anyway. I always wear a one piece. I also wear a t-shirt over the top because I don’t want men staring at my breasts.

Hey, I feel the same way entirely. I just don’t like being told I’m sinning if I don’t dress according to someone on the internet’s standard.

Best of luck to you, and God bless.

Lucy, does a modest bikini generally mean that it has little or no cleavage and that the backside is fully covered? Just asking…
Of course not.

Showing some degree of cleavage and backside is the nature of any/most swimsuits… even most one pieces. And especially a bikini!

Unless she is wearing shorts and a “bikini” top that is bigger than a sport’s bra, it’s going to show some cleavage and some backside.

But that wouldn’t be a bikini, it would be a very conservative TANKini.

Why would it be considered wrong for a person to walk into a store wearing just a bra and underwear but its okay for them to wear bikinis?

Aren’t they basically the same?

If a bikini is okay, why can’t we all walk around in underwear?

Whats up with the ‘no shirt no service’ ?

Where I live, the only time that one can see women wearing bikinis are at pools or at beaches. It has something to do with the right time and the right place to wear bikinis.

Right, so its wrong and immodest in lets say a public store, but automatically becomes modest and okay on a beach?

Sorry, I don’t see the difference between underwear and a bikini. They look the same to me. Oh well I guess. 😛

Bikinis and underwear are different. Bikinis are swimwear, while underwear are not. Those might look the same, but the functions are different.
