Like many “once Catholic” Universities; it’s at best these day’s a hit or miss deal.

No, they do not. The Book of Mormon and Pearl of Great Price are fan fictions,loosely based on existing Christian faith but transformed into something new and different. It is a new religion, which has borrowed Christian words, phrases, even scripture, but applied meaning that was never there before. Beginning with the word “God”.

Latter-day Saints believe in a number of doctrines related to God that differ from how orthodox or traditional Christians view God, such as:
-the Father having once been a man, as well as allowing for the possibility that He was once a man that progressed to/achieved Godhood.
-the Father is married to a Heavenly Mother
-the Son and the Holy Ghost are literal spiritual offspring of the Father and Mother, as we all are (the Son/Jesus/Jehovah being the literal firstborn spirit child)
-rejection of the orthodox understanding of the oneness of being/substance/essence/nature of the Trinity (and their criticisms of this doctrine tend to criticize the Modalistic heresy, and not a coherent understanding of the Trinity doctrine). LDS teach that the unity of the Godhead is one of purpose.
-Latter-day Saints are okay with speaking of the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost as “three Gods”, in addition to referring to them as “one God”, i.e. Godhead.
