thank you very muchSerap - I think it is normal for toddlers to have temper tantrums. Since my son was born, my 2.5 year-old daughter has been having tantrums almost everyday as well. I think a lot of it has to do with 1) wanting attention since it’s not all about her anymore, 2) A very strong/defiant personality trying to test her boundaries and wants her own way (what toddler isn’t lol!) and 3) she’s 2.
Needless-to-say, it has been exasperating at times especially when I haven’t gotten enough rest the night before to stay calm when handling her tantrum. Yesterday and the day before I was ready to explode and was asking for Calgon to take me away, (Never understood that commercial as a kid until I had kids.) I couldn’t wait for my husband to come home so that I could decompress for an hour. But he’ll be doing some side work at home for extra income to pay the bills, so I’m trying to mentally prepare myself with handling the parenting work all day/night for a while. I’m sure you have been experiencing the same, so :hug1: from one mommy to another. I do agree with others, though, that if you are concerned, just check it out with your ped.
