i think you reading to much into it. all i ask you is if you had any other prophet after Jesus. you know like those before Jesus.

This link is about the afterlife. It did not answer the questions.

Will the Kingdom of the Messiah last until the end of the world? Will there be an end to the world?

These are not general questions about the afterlife, but are about specific events. Are there official views on this? When the Messiah’s kingdom is set up, will that be the end of the world? Will people die in that world? Is there something else? Your link doesn’t explain the Messiah’s relationship to the end of days. That is what we are looking for. Thanks.

Disregard this post. I think the link does explain this somewhat. It basically says that there is no “official” view of the end of days in Judaism, I believe. I was just hoping there would be a little more clarification. Sorry.

Let me try again.

The phrase “other prophet after Jesus” implies that we regard him as a prophet [as if we had: prophets before Jesus - a prophet called Jesus - conjectural prophets after Jesus] while we don’t regard Jesus as of any significance whatsoever - not Messiah, not prophet, not anything.

So, think of another question.

Much in Judaism is like that - ‘on the one hand, while on the other hand, meanwhile on yet another hand’.

Quite often here, I’ve used the expressions:

“Judaism doesn’t work like Christianity”

and

“Christianity does not equal ‘Judaism + Jesus’” and “Judaism does not equal ‘Christianity - Jesus’”.

The thing is that people ask ‘Christian questions’ and expect ‘Christian answers’ (by which I mean questions that make perfect sense if you have a Christian worldview but not if you have a Jewish worldview) and get disappointed when they get ‘Jewish answers’.

no, i never implied Jesus was a prophet. Jesus to us is the Messiah. there is no question about that.

Israel had many prophet before Jesus came. so i am asking after Jesus went to Heaven, has God sent any more prophet to Israel?

That’s an even worse question to ask a Jewish poster. Bit like ‘after Gandalf left Middle Earth . . . .’

Perhaps because I see a lot of it as about attitude - the phrasing of questions is often a lesson in attitude.
 
A lot of reform/conservative-reform Jews believe in a ‘Messianic age’ of peace, instead of a Messiah. At least, that’s what I get from some books I’ve read written by more liberal Jews. The orthodox Jews believe in a Messiah though, and that he’ll deliver Israel.
 
I apologize about the ‘Gandalf’ statement (post #51) - I was just trying to express the distance in belief and went too far.

Who was the last prophet the Jewish people had? and Have you had any other prophets after? and who have they been?.
