Who knows? His job is to tell the truth of the Church’s teachings.

And I ask you again, is your church teaching you the whole truth about artificial birth control, especially birth control pills?
YES

does Pope JP2 have any first hand experence?
Does Jesus or St. Paul have first hand experience? Like them, Pope John Paul II was celibate. John Paul II have counseled marriage couples since his ordaination into the priesthood, he probably heard issues that married couples have.

I also like to add many of the Catholic Evangelicals today who teach about the TOTB are married individuals.

Can you give us a link or some book titles? Something maybe short and sweet to whet our appetites?

i do not know of any internet links but tomorrow when I go over to the Church library I will get the name of the book I read it in

I just came across this forum while researching about the Theology of the Body. The reality is that protestants have never heard of it. I am a Youth Director at a church that is usually on the cutting edge of what’s new and good in theology and curriculum. This doesn’t mean we believe everything we read or hear about, but we usually do hear about it.

I just heard about it. I am currently reading it, and will almost certainly teach it to my teenagers.

The other reason you only got two protestants to talk about it on this forum was that this is a CATHOLIC FORUM!!! most protestants are on facebook discussing things, not Catholic forums. Just a thought…

In response to the first hand experience question, in JPII’s book love and responsibility, the introduction discusses this very idea of how he could right a book about sex, marriage, and love and what qualifications he has to do so.
