Hello, Buffalo. forgive my lack of understanding. Can you please explain the difference then of how a pluralistic…anything goes morality…society is secular and not anarchy? Thanks in advance.

My understanding of anarchy is that government ceases to exist and with great social disorder.

An anything goes morality society still can have a government structure.

Scripture didn’t invent the unscriptural word of “sodomite”, and then infect translations of the bible with it. “Tradition” did. And examining and digging deeper within scripture and history "with"out a biased preconceived perspective is responsible for this telling fact.

Swettie, the fact that materialized angels and angry humans isn’t a homosexual encounter isn’t a teaching, it’s a biblical fact. It’s your flawed postion that carries the weight of being a “teaching” not mine.

The words of Scripture speak for themselves about this immoral sin. It didn’t need the Catholic Church to decide it was a sin.
The story of Sodom and Gamorrah is Biblical. And it is about what God did to the Sodomites because of the sin of active homosexuality. This was discussed earlier in the thread. And there are many other references to the sin of homosexual actions. Tradition did not make any of it up. Tradition just obeyed God’s laws and words about it.

And, try as you might, you cannot ever change God.

Read your Bible. The story is very clear…unless you have one of those politically correct recent translations that use words like “people” instead of the words “man” or “men”. There are a bunch of those Bibles floating around. The translaters didn’t want “women” offended by such “chauvenistic” words that gave gender to the people in the stories. Like they were all without gender or something.

The worst thing about this show is that the topics of conversation were highly explicit; they talked intricately about gay sex and gay relationships. I was absolutely horrified that they would put this show on in the mornings. A show like this would have been unheard of even ten years ago. It was absolutely disgusting! Shows of this nature are responsible for the gay culture that we now have. Homosexuality now has the respectability that it never had in the past.

If the current trend continues, homosexuality will begin to have an equal status with heterosexuality and may even be taught in schools. The morals of our society will decline, and religious people will be accused of hatred for their beliefs regarding homosexuality.

The media is responsible for the widespread acceptance homosexuality now enjoys, and I think Catholics will be persecuted for their beliefs on homosexuality in the future.

It’s called Relativism and has a profound impact on any moral culture, which we once had. With relativism, there are no absolutes.

Only through a return to the true morals of the natural moral laws of God can we hope to survive.

And what does your Bible say exactly that makes you think that what we have said about the story of Sodom and Gamorrah is wrong? And please state what Bible you are reading or quoting from. And please supply the verses.

I am prejudiced against nothing except sin, or ignoring sin…which enables nothing to be done to save the sinner.

Seriously, is this comprehsnsion at its finest? The bible NEVER EQUATED SODOM WITH HOMOSEXUALITY. Jude 7 and even the Catholic Church’s own Jeruslaem Bible confirms this. It is the Bible that is anything but wrong. And I think that you would agree with me that anything contrary to it is.
