I love cats, but I travel too much, so I have to be content with occasional audiences with my parents’ cat Sultana instead of being own by my own cat. She even condescends to sit my lap and allow herself to be petted. The pressures of royalty.

Ours takes over everything, including all of the blankets here. You’re lucky if you get a tiny little wedge of blanket to lay on, when she’s around! LOL!!

I laugh whenever she’s on the bed whenever my husband is, because she’ll lay right in the middle of it, and he’ll be confined to the edge, and I’ll jokingly tell him, “Oh, it’s so nice of her to share it with you!”

I grew up in a small, rural town, literally 10 feet from a cornfield. Cleo emerged from the cornfield one day as a kitten, no one claimed her, and so my family adopted her and she adopted us. She’s so friendly, loves a good neck scratch and a warm lap, and is still playful.

This is Luna, in a rare moment of excessive friendliness. She’s not normally a lap kitty. Usually, she only comes to join me if I have a warm blanket and it’s cold haha. I think in this case, she wanted food.

She’s a pretty skittish cat and gets easily frightened. She doesn’t really like strangers. But she provides endless entertainment for my husband and I (except when she tries to eat the Christmas tree…). I got her as a kitten about a month before meeting my husband, so he knew from the beginning that we were a package deal. Although my husband would love to get a Husky or German Shepherd someday in the future.
