“One” is not her father! “One” is her son. Please go to startrek.com
and look for the episode where “One” was in it.

Seven determines that when she and the Doctor were transported, some of her nanoprobes infected his emitter. It was assimilated, and the Borg used Mulcahey’s genetic code to create a lifeform. As it continues to mature at a rapid rate, the drone is observed to be mostly human, with many implants. The emitter is part of his central nervous system and gives him 29th-century technology. His connection with the Collective is dampened, and Seven attempts a neural interface to give him instructions. Instead, he tries to assimilate her knowledge.

Seems to me it would be more related to the Doctor then to 7.

I thought Janeway referred to One as her son? I’ll have to go back and re read it.

I think you are correct. It’s been a while since I saw that one too but if Janeway didn’t directly refer to ‘One’ as her son then it was heavily implied.

What was the story behind that other former Borg named Elam (Ethan)? That’s who I thought we were talking about.
 
TOS and even-numbered motion pictures for me. 👍

Hardly a ‘son’ in any normal use of the word.
In any instance, I was always a DS9 fan.
Never could get into Voyager, they broke too many rules, and there did not seem to be any overall story arc.

I love Star Trek. It’s what liberalism would be like if it actually worked. No need for money. No poverty. Government takes care of everybody. Everyone is a productive member of society. Nobody over eats. Society progresses without economic incentives. Marriage isn’t needed. Sexual freedom. Absence of God or religion. Respect for all cultures. Etc.

They did celebrate character’s birthdays…fine but whatabout what really matters?

The final episodes of all the show except Enterprise (I lost interest after season one).

ANY episode with Q (John DeLance)! Those to me are comedic classics! :rotfl:

When Data has a daughter in TNG.
When the DS9 cast is playing baseball! 👍
When the TNG cast are in the holodeck and deal with the Sherlock Holmes characters.
When the TNG crew are befallen with the 'De-evolution" and regress into primative species…always wondered why Data didn’t 'de-evolutionize"…into a Pong Video Game… :rolleyes: :rolleyes:

I’m a big fan of the original series, TNG, and DS9. I can take or leave much of Voyager and much of Enterprise (although the 4th Season was really good, IMHO).

Alas, I now have a new Sci-Fi addiction: Ron Moore’s reimagining of Battlestar Galactica. Staying home on Friday night’s hasn’t been this hip since The X-Files.

Probably because they didn’t want to offend any non-Christians who were watching. But just because we never saw them celebrate Christmas doesn’t mean they never did!
 
They didn’t celebrate Christmas, because Gene Roddenberry believed that by the 23rd(24th) Century, humanity would grow beyond religion. Gene was very anti-religion, and didn’t want it incorporated into his show. He was so anti-religion, that when Jonathan Frakes got married during TNG’s run, Gene refused to attend the ceremony.
