Good question.

I guess I’ll leave that to the experts. But if I may piggy-back, I’m also interested to learn what Protestant Non-Catholics think about Fatima.
Doesn’t the Angel of death “take” people?
Judgment is another thing- that belongs to the Lord. Angels are messengers. They make pronouncements also. So why wouldn’t Mary have permission to do an action for the Lord? Prophets spoke with God’s voice,.,mere humans given the grace and power to speak for God. They had no power of their own. They were called, as Mary was.Mary can do nothing without her Son and Lord.

That’s a good point. Thanks for clarifying.

Just wondering your guys opinions, do you think it’s realistic that their friend would be in purgatory for all of eternity? Just wondering.

Can someone explain to me what the new age is? And why in the world would Mystics be accused with trying to infiltrate society to bring it?
If they are approved Mystics they will have nothing in common with the New Age, just read some for your self… they are responsible for bringing me back to the Catholic Church.🙂

Hey, I know exactly who/what fatima was just like I know Lourdes and Guadeloupe . The intention of my question to Peter J was more related to Protestants either not knowing or don’t care. (Hence the :))
Indeed? :hmmm:

Funnily enough (very funnily, actually) I said pretty much the same thing recently to a Protestant who asked something about Jimmy Akin. That is to say, I’m a lifelong Catholic but I pretty much *only *hear the name Jimmy Akin when I’m talking to Protestants. (Ditto for lots of other names. Ditto for the 1914 Catholic Encyclopedia.)

I guess it’s equally unfair for me to assume the Protestants are always thinking about Jerry Falwell or Joel Osteen. 🙂

It seems we each make unwarranted assumptions about what the other thinks about, when the only thing we really know is that Mormon get togethers have lots of discussions about Mitt Romney.
