Oh, wow⦠back before I returned to the Church, when I was a āmere Christianā as CS Lewis put it, I had a tape by Elisabeth Eliot (a Protestant missionary who returned to the wild place where her husband had been killed) about this, and she said there were so many Christians āunequally yokedā because some came or returned to Christianity after their marriage and that no one should be criticized for it.Thanks both
Some Protestant churches are quite big on the whole equally yoked thing. Iāve had several people post things on Facebook which are very anti believers marrying non believers. It hurts to see because I love my husband dearly, we have a fantastic marriage and my faith has grown hugely since Iāve been with him. In fact itās because of him I started looking at the Catholic Church. I used to be anti catholic![]()
So what do these people think? That those who marry before they are Christians should not consider becoming Christian?
