If you expect a Holy book to tell you something about astrophysics, you are so far away from understanding God there is likely no hope in even discussing the matter with you. It is amazing how the video narrator expresses his insights into truths such as, “the earth and the sun are all that we are told about”, and still doesn’t comprehend the purpose of that focus within the Biblical stories as expressions of a relationship, rather than as God’s chance to prove his scientific brilliance to mankind.

And he said: “I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” That has nothing to do with being unsophisticated and lacking in brillance. It has to do with focus.

And I wish that more people could see that Faith is not the point to life. It is merely to keep you on a track that is to lead somewhere, somewhere specific.
 
Actually, in all honesty (Heaven forbid), I have to admit that the argument that because life is rare and so unlikely, it must have been designed by an intelligent being is bogus.

But having said that, I also have to admit that the socialistic/atheist argument that life is trivial because it is likely to show up anywhere is equally as bogus and even more insidious.

Just because you find an extremely rare and wondrous thing, does NOT mean that something intelligent formed it. This is the same as reading tea leaves and worshiping magic.

But to proclaim that life is not significant is utterly insane and I mean true and very real insanity.

no, but G-d, did. at what place should we limit the information that G-d put in Scripture? the poster here suggest info about sart, but why not geology, why not virology, and why not my truck?

oh yes, empirical evidence. how can i show you somehting non-physical? do you only believe in things you see? do you believe in electrons? ever seen one?

how does the universe look anything like G-d doesnt exist? that point was never made in the video. i saw nothing that shows that the universe looks as though G-d doesnt exist. indee, from what we actually know it does look like G-d exists. we only observe an expansion of the universe from literally nothing. looks alot like a supernatural act to me. people may not want it to be, but there is no evidence it was a natural event at all.

yes they are, generally they either dont understand the science, or the philosophy. they dont seem to understand that the universe cannot explain its own existence, or why we believe, what we believe. i was an atheist. i know it well.

“Odds” are based entirely on an admission of ignorance, as are all probabilities.

What are the odds that what I can’t see is wearing a yellow shirt?

If there is one thing intelligent out of 10^5000 other things. what are the odds that one is asking the question?

If there are 10^10000 things floating around me that are not important, what are the odds of me being important?

There’s all of the evidence in the world that matter and energy do not come from nothing. If there is no unmoved mover, then you are victim to an infinite regress. It’s rather simple.
