Well there’s always the story of Job where God allowed Satan to destroy everything he loved just to prove a point.

You mean the Catholic Church? Well, if I remember correctly, it says that those who, through no fault of their own, have not heard the Gospel may still be saved if they have followed the teaching of God according to the light they have received.

What does YOUR church teach? 😉

John 11:26 everyone who lives and believes in me even if he dies will live. Thats what my Faith teaches. What does yours teach?

Now do you believe that you can have eternal life and deny Jesus Christ. Yes or No?

That is your belief….now we are all entitled to believe what we want, and that’s probably what you’ve been raised to do, but there is no god inside me. How do I even begin to address this issue?

The same thing. BUt what about the People who have heard the good news and still reject it?

Well, I believe they’ll be judged by the same God who said, "“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father who is in heaven will enter.”

And since it’s clear from that passage that just saying “Lord, Lord” to Jesus doesn’t qualify as “the will of My Father”, there must be some other criterion for salvation than mere “belief” - don’t you agree?

And my answer to you would be to Pray for Grace from the Holy Spirit to help you address the issue. I have no Power. Only God holds the power and will only come if you ask him and want him. He gave you free choice to accept him or reject him/ Its up to you. No one can or will make that choice for you. ITs all yours. And you said it yourself we are all entitled to believe what we want. The bible tells you that. You are either with me or against me. God leaves it up to us.

I would say the scripture you just quoted just said that. Maybe you should re-read it.

The problem is not, has never been, and never will be a lack of light. The problem is that people love darkness, because their deeds are evil.

? Maybe you should. It seems pretty obvious that it’s telling us that it isn’t enough just to say that you believe in God - you have to do what God wants you to do. And if you think that means saying that you believe in God - well, according to the letter of James, “even the demons believe”. Are the demons saved too?

And you know what? We could go round and round about this, but let’s get back to the whole point of this thread: stereotyping and insulting people who don’t share our beliefs is not only rude - it’s unproductive. You don’t convert people by making fun of them.

science already knows how we got here. just because you are blinded by faith doesn’t lessen the fact. we may not have all of the details but as far as the how part goes we’re 100%

Ok. I don’t understand why you are mad at me anyway we are on the same side. But I would never insult anyone on purpose. I just disagree with the quotes that he had, and told him its not him its the quotes I just disagree with. I don’t think thats insulting anyone.

Yep you just said it he allowed Satan to destroy everything because he did not believe that Job would hold on to his faith and God. But God said you can do what you want just not take away his free will. But God did not create evil but allows it. ANd look a greater good just like I said. Job choose God over evil, and ended up on top. And he also by choosing God no matter what got eternal Life.

Now that I would call an insult. That is insulting us for believing in God and our faith. Saying we are blind. Just because we used our free will and choose to follow Christ and because with our faith we don’t need science to prove anything.

But yes I will turn the other cheek because our loving Lord tells us to. But Jordan this was not in response to what you said, I responded for another obvious reason.
