I was not so much SSPX bashing as calling a spade a spade…sometimes the truth is just what it is.I’m not hostile to the SSPX. I just don’t feel every thread has to turn into an SSPX bashing thread. But that’s all I’m saying. Carry on!
While I can agree that there is no enforced law upon women covering their hair, I still have to wonder why it should even be an issue, or a sore spot for some…because it is true, some women, and men, feel irritated, annoyed, or perhaps even threatened, if they see a woman in a veil outside of the EF…it is not the same reaction if the woman is wearing a hat or perhaps a scarf, but for some reason the veil itself elicits annoyance in some Catholics who embrace the looser rules of dress, the modern spirit, and the new mass.
Common sense is not a trait of everyone…some just simply don’t know any better and it is incumbent upon those that do to set a good example, or the priest to set some guidelines on proper dress…afterall…nobody objects to the dress rules when going to court or to the opera or to a fancy restaurant.
