Nepperhan (telling me what to do again) . . .
You can flag that one for the moderators, too.
Nepperhan. Why would I flag the moderators for this? You’ve been telling me what to do for a long time.

The only reason I engage you on it, is it helps other people to see how you are thinking.

I’m kind of glad you do it actually. It makes my point.

For everybody else.

The world hating the Christians is real. Despite what anyone else attempts to sell you.
JOHN 15:18-19 18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.
.
NOT JOHN 15:18-19 18 “If the world hates you, know you are being oversensitive. 19 So everyone should just hang up that ‘war against Christians’ stuff.

All Barr said was to treat all gatherings alike.
But not all the politicians are doing that. As was pointed out to you, you can drive-in and park at other places.

In fact, in the secular places, you can even get out of the car, go into a building with others and touch a bunch of objects.

I recently did so at my local liquor store and tobacco shop - which (although not mentioned in the Constitution) have been deemed essential.

By the way, I agree that they are essential. I can think of no better time to poor a stiff one than now. Unfortunately, Hubby disagrees with me and we’re shut in together. Rats!

You’ve been telling me what to do for a long time.
You seem awfully sensitive about someone ‘telling you what to do’. If I say “you can” it means that’s an option. Obviously you can act anyway you want – no one is stating what you must or must not do. You have a problem with folks saying what you can do?

If you wish, I can tell you exactly what you can do. And you can report that post, too.

Well, I can see the rationality in that. One has to eat and drink, biologically. One does not HAVE to attend church with others to survive. Plus, attending church with others now presents a danger to others in the church and others in the community. For a rational and responsible statesperson the choice is easy.

A few things.
We witnessed Protestants holding actual services in defiance of social distancing. Palm Sunday. I imagine that affected the response Easter.
Those services are capable of terrible damage.
Next, I understand America’s tradition of freedom . ( Your theme).
I also look at Taiwan and see that they went from 20 something cases, to the teens, to like 7.
My friend tells me( from Taiwan) that their kids didn’t miss school, they kept working, and they have those numbers.
Objectively. They did everything right
And Their people are disciplined.
And they can implement policies that would violate our Constitution and send freedom living Americans off the deep end.
We are mired in our own weakness in terms of restoring commerce. But you can make money back. You can’t bring people back.
The behaviors shock our liberty minded sensibility, but they are temporary. Inconvenient. The problem is the TALE OF JAPAN. They went back and failed. Now they are worse off. I still think the MAYOR OF AMITY represents a good reference point. Once he sent those swimmers back, Amity was on welfare track until the shark was dead.
You sound itchy. Taiwan fined people like 3 grand, and I sense that you better have access to it fast when the fine issues. They got compliance, so can you fault people for trying what worked?

Nepperhan (to me) . . . .
You seem awfully sensitive about someone ‘telling you what to do’.
In the past you’ve focused a lot on your feelings Nepperhan. Nothing wrong with that.

We all do that from time to time.

Now you are a self-proclaimed poster about OTHER people’s feelings and THEIR sensitivity (namely unfortunately you are preoccupied with me and what you dream my “sensitivities” are) . . . .
You seem awfully sensitive about someone ‘telling you what to do’.
Like I said.

Keep doing it. I will keep responding.

People will keep reading.

I have told them about this phenomenon.

You will just keep implicitly making my point.

And I am good with that.

Over here Maximus
you were defending Fre, er I mean Chris Cuomo
for being out of quarantine
yet being a KNOWN Corona Virus carrier !!! (assuming he is not lying about even having Corona Virus in the first place).

Now you are upset at Christians who are NOT known Corona Virus carriers when they gather to worship Jesus!

Have you expressed such dismay against people at say . . . Wal Mart?

Would you mind linking to those posts of yours that chided shoppers at WalMart?

Or is it ONLY Christians that are the problem?

Are you ready to support Attorney General William Barr here and now . . . . against local Governments cracking down on free speech (free assembly)?

?

Not sure what you mean by “support” here. I have no involvement in the process.

ThinkingSapien . . . .
I have no involvement in the process.
That is what I figured you’d say.

If you go back to our Google SPLC thread , you will see I predicted that response. Not from you per se.

Just a general reaction back then.

Walmart?
This has nothing to do with Christians. Please don’t go down the path of claiming you are a better Christian than me. For yourself don’t.
Once you insinuate Cuomo is not sick, you loose me. You should know better

Maximus1’s response?

Deflection. All of it linked here and below is the crux of it.
Please don’t go down the path of claiming you are a better Christian than me.
Good grief.

Still no answer. Just a charge against me that I never made.

Tonight they said new studies show that Coronavirus is most contagious within the first 3 days you contract it. WHEN YOU ARE ASYMPTOMATIC AND FEEL GOOD.
Apparently less contagious later in the sickness.
So you need a new comparison.

Maximus1 . . .
Once you insinuate Cuomo is not sick, you loose me.
Have you ever thought it is Cuomo’s own fault?

Cuomo is the one lying to viewers or at least misleading them about his alleged “quarantining” in the basement out of his care for his wife and kids.

Running around outside with other people away from your home is not “quarantining”.

If he is misleading you about his alleged quarantining,
is it just possible he is misleading you too
about the whole Corona Virus story?

Or ONLY his alleged quarantining?

It was HIM that hurt his own credibility. Not me.

I believed him (and actually prayed for him).
Now I am not so certain.

This has nothing to do with Christians.
Sure it does. If you think that then you do not know what Barr is saying.

You cannot have parking lot things OK for businesses (like Wal Mart) and single out Christian parking lot gatherings as illegal.

Do you blame the whole 500k+ people who have it as their fault? Seems like Cuomo is popular at the moment and that is intolerable for the right. That is why a man with a fever for over 11 days strait is being attacked desperately.

Walmart things like buying food or drugs. Those are necessities. Barr is sucking up to the base. The exclusive partial body of the new church. You can try to keep people safe.

I talked to Maximus1 about Cuomo’s lack of credibility from him lying or at least misleading viewers about his own quarantining.

I said Cuomo’s injured credibility is his own fault.

Here it is again . . . .
It was HIM that hurt his own credibility. Not me.
Maximus1’s response?

The fallacy of equivocation.
(Changing my premise to argue against his new weaker and easier to argue against “point”) . . .

Maximus1 (changing my premise from Cuomo’s lying to Cuomo’s [alleged] case of a Corona viral infection) . . . .

To the readers here.

There ya have it.
