Does the Bishop support BNP
Hey Bill,

My answer is that I do not know. I don’t personally know any Bishops or Cardinals, but I do know for a fact that there are many priests who support the BNP. Some of the priests that I do know have told me that there are Cardinals and Bishops that do support the BNP.

One such Cardinal is Cardinal Vidal of the Archdiocese of Cebu in the Philippines.

Hey Gabriel - these are the things I know from being with the BNP for 14+ years.

I definitely understand the the concern about groups, people or organizations taking Catholics away from the doctrine and from their faith by misleading them, and I am with you on that.

The reason why I have been involved with the BNP since my teens and still am involved with it is because it has brought my family and I back to the Catholic Church. It has done absolutely nothing to push me and my family from the things we’ve learned in our Catechism, on the contrary my involvement with the BNP has strengthened and reinforced my Catholic faith (as I had said in a few posts above).

Gabriel of 12;
I am happy that you have been enlightened, so have I in the body of Jesus Christ, but it did not take the BNP for me to come to the Truth in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.

Something still doesn’t sit well with me here; It takes one many years of formation under my Bishop in order as a lay person or lay ministry to instruct others in our Diocese. Are your teachers approved by the local Bishop of each diocese? Who are your teachers? Priests? or lay persons?

The Catholic Church has many many lay person ministries, I am involved in 4 of them from feeding the poor, visiting the sick, to official church ministries conducted by lay persons approved by our Bishop. Yet in each of these different lay person ministries, we do not place these titles of each group separate or over the Catholic Church. These ministries are many members but united in one body. How does BNP unite itself to the one Body of Jesus Christ?

BNP thus far as introduced here; because it is new, would be able to get Bishop approval by any Catholic Bishop if? its catechises are taught by the Church for the body of Jesus Christ. Something just is not right here, and raises suspicion, if BNP are teaching teenagers (Youth) about the Catholic Church and cannot get Bishop approval?

This subject of instruction is a separate matter than the supposed unnatural events occurring. If the unnatural event is of God? why does the BNP instruct its new members instead of sending them to the local Bishop for Catechises instruction and formation? Let the unnatural events stand by themselves if it is of God or manifest themselves in BNP. But I don’t think BNP has any authority to catechise the body of Jesus Christ without the approval of the local Bishop if BNP calls itself Catholic?

In short, If Catholics and others are drawn to this unnatural event let it be; But don’t start up a new Church of instruction to compete with the one Jesus already built.

My point here, thus far, from what I have been introduced too; is, Catholics should not be instructed by the BNP until the local Bishop approves the instruction and formation whether or not the catechism is used or not.

The enlightenment of the unnatural events at BNP should remain outside collecting members and catechizing members who are in communion with the local Bishop and Pope, this creates a conflict. What is the purpose of BNP collecting members over an unnatural event?

If I were to ask you? Who founded the BNP? is this founder in full communion with the body of Jesus Christ which includes Peter’s Chair in the Pope and the magisterium of the Apostles? Or is your founder much higher than the Church? Again I don’t understand BNP’s foundation so I ask? These questions are not geared toward negativity but confirmation of BNP’s authenticity.

Peace be with you

Please find my answers or responses below in blue.

I am happy that you have been enlightened, so have I in the body of Jesus Christ, but it did not take the BNP for me to come to the Truth in the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church. Agreed, people have their own personal paths to enlightenment, people have their own paths to God. For me, the experiences within the BNP has helped me go back to the Catholic Church.

Something still doesn’t sit well with me here; It takes one many years of formation under my Bishop in order as a lay person or lay ministry to instruct others in our Diocese. Are your teachers approved by the local Bishop of each diocese? Who are your teachers? Priests? or lay persons?BNP does not have teachers, if you’re referring to the topics during retreats, those are based on the particular speakers reading the bible, the lives of the saints and other books and references. From my experience the speakers have shared their personal stories of God in their life.

How does BNP unite itself to the one Body of Jesus Christ?Again, from my pov, the BNP unites itself to the one Body of Jesus Christ through it’s works and various activities that create and develop a personal relationship with God.

The BNP has been around since the late 60’s, I believe 1968. As stated before, I believe that the case on the BNP is still open because the “visions” or “manifestations” are still happening today. As someone else had said, the visions at Medjugorje are still occurring today, and because of this it is not fully backed by Mother Church since it’s still ongoing.

The BNP instructs it’s new members??? I’m not sure what you’re referring to, all the BNP activities that I’ve been to haven’t instructed anyone to do anything. As far as sending people to their local Bishops for instruction and formation, that is part of what the BNP does. Again, from my own experience, the BNP encourages people to go receive the Sacraments, to do Vigil adoration, to learn more about their Catholic faith.

In short, If Catholics and others are drawn to this unnatural event let it be; But don’t start up a new Church of instruction to compete with the one Jesus already built.Again, the BNP is is not a church. I still don’t understand what instruction you are trying to point out.

My point here, thus far, from what I have been introduced too; is, Catholics should not be instructed by the BNP until the local Bishop approves the instruction and formation whether or not the catechism is used or not. Again, there is no instruction from the BNP to do anything. If a Catholic, or a person of any other religion should find God within the BNP, or find that the BNP has helped to strengthen their relationship with their family, God, and themselves, then why would you ask someone to stop something that has been good and for God?

The enlightenment of the unnatural events at BNP should remain outside collecting members and catechizing members who are in communion with the local Bishop and Pope, this creates a conflict. What is the purpose of BNP collecting members over an unnatural event?Unnatural event, sorry I’m not sure I’m following you here??

If I were to ask you? Who founded the BNP? is this founder in full communion with the body of Jesus Christ which includes Peter’s Chair in the Pope and the magisterium of the Apostles? Or is your founder much higher than the Church? Again I don’t understand BNP’s foundation so I ask? These questions are not geared toward negativity but confirmation of BNP’s authenticity. The one who founded BNP is God, the Holy Spirit … that should answer the subsequent questions you have. Maybe I’m reading your question wrong, or your reference to a “founder” and mine are different since this is the second time you have asked me that question and this is the second time I’m answering it with the same answer.

Peace be with you And also with you 🙂

Good morning all! I do know there are bishops who support BNP as well but to find out exactly who they are would mean having to contact each and every diocese on the planet it would seem. Here’s an important note: the BNP Youth Ministry delegates to their recent convention held in Rome had an audience with the Pope, who knows all about us, and the audience was arranged and approved by a bishop at the Vatican. Simon did you recognize some of your bretheren from NY there? Things are moving in the right direction as far as recognition is concerned. Like I said - it will all come out in the wash one of these days.

Hey BigJ,

Absolutely, I saw the video from the EWTN when they were broadcasting the audience. It was great to see the number of youth there to be honored by the audience with the Pope and I definitely saw some of the NY youth there!

I wish I had made it out there, but didn’t seize the opportunity. Hopefully next time - did you get to go?

sraymundo; Iam finding inconsistencies from your responses about BNP.

It was said by you or another BNP member that BNP teaches from the Catechism and bible, adhere to the sacraments and the Catholic Faith.

I asked how, and who administers the sacraments and instruction? You responded the “BNP does not have teachers”?

Can you be so kind as to describe a typical Sunday at BNP?

The retreat you attended at BNP, can you describe its content and instruction you recieved, and if you recieved confession and Holy Communion at this retreat? If so by whom?

Do you know if Medjugorje is conducting retreats for converts and Catholics as does BNP?

sraymundo; Iam finding inconsistencies from your responses about BNP.I’ll comment on this very honestly as I’ve been trying to answer your questions to be best of my ability, but it seems that you are trying to find some sort of “hole” in my posts. If there are inconsistencies, I ask you to please quote me and tell me where they are and I will try to expand on them.

It was said by you or another BNP member that BNP teaches from the Catechism and bible, adhere to the sacraments and the Catholic Faith.I cannot speak for what other members have said, as I’ve said in the past posts that I can only share my experiences with you and give you things from my pov and what I’ve been through. I think you have misquoted me in saying that the BNP teaches from teh Catechism and the bible, what I did say was that during the retreats the Catholic teachings are discussed. There have been many priests that have gone through the retreats (and you agree that the priests have gone through rigorous schooling to understand the Catholic Church??) without having any objection as to the material discussed. Can I ask you if you’ve ever gone to a BNP retreat? The reason I’m asking if you’ve ever been to a BNP retreat is because if you have, I want to know what objections you do have to the content? Let me reiterate that the BNP is a lay movement, it is ordinary people trying to spread the love and word of God.

I asked how, and who administers the sacraments and instruction? You responded the “BNP does not have teachers”?Yes you asked me who administers the Sacraments, and the answer I gave you is the same answer as I’m giving you now, the members of the BNP who are Catholic go to their respective parishes to receive their Sacraments and instruction.

Can you be so kind as to describe a typical Sunday at BNP? A typical Sunday at BNP? I’m not sure what you mean … but my Sunday is spent with my family and at church for the Holy Mass, then most likely watching football with my dad and getting something to eat.

The retreat you attended at BNP, can you describe its content and instruction you recieved, and if you recieved confession and Holy Communion at this retreat? If so by whom? The topics that are discussed during the retreats are similar to that of the Cursillo … you have said that you attended those retreat, correct? There is a Mass and Confession during the retreat, which is given by a Catholic priest.

Do you know if Medjugorje is conducting retreats for converts and Catholics as does BNP?Sorry, I don’t know if there are any retreats conducted or not.

Sorry, I forgot to address the latter part of your statement.

It was said by you or another BNP member that BNP teaches from the Catechism and bible, adhere to the sacraments and the Catholic Faith. I will speak for myself and those who are close to me, who are practicing Catholics and are involved with the BNP. Yes we do go to the Sacraments and the Catholic faith as best as we can. There are times when we do fall and struggle, but through God’s love and mercy we overcome that try again.

Thank You for your answer I also am Catholc and I know the Pope is in support my Church. good lucky to you

Simon I’m guessing there are those who only hear what they wish to hear vs what is actually being said. I’m seeing you have gone over some questions 2 or 3 times with the same answer!!! Hang in there brutha…

I can tell you that a typical Sunday for me as an active BNP graduate is to go to Sunday Mass at my local parish, celebrate the Eucharist and receive Sacraments from my PRIEST, like WE ALL DO…

What order do your priest belong to…

Well, we have MANY priests who will come and conduct masses for us at our retreat classes from different orders. I’m not sure exactly which ones they align with. I know in my respective local parish, one of our priests is a Jesuit, we have another from India who’s order I do not know, and we have a new priest who hasn’t indicated yet. But the bottom line is they are all ordained in the order of Melchizedek…

I can tell you that a typical Sunday for me as an active BNP graduate is to go to Sunday Mass at my local parish, celebrate the Eucharist and receive Sacraments from my PRIEST, like WE ALL DO…
This is not going anywhere fast; but I have to ask? What is an active BNP graduate??? How did you become a graduate of _____ or from _______? Maybe if we try filling in the blanks to see if this helps clarify some things?

I am sorry if BNP cannot answer my questions? but I cant ask my questions any clearer than I have, because I dont know of any BNP in the Catholic Church.

Who are these priest who adminster the sacraments at a BNP retreat?? Are they BNP graduates also, or do BNP members attend official Catholic retreats outside BNP?

Who founded BNP? forgive me but what does BNP stand for again?

How does one become a member of BNP?

I agree with you that this is going back and forth, the reason being is that you are asking the same questions over and over again. If you read my responses you’ll see that I have answered your questions time and time again, if you aren’t satisfied with those answers, then please expand on the question or perhaps ask a more detailed question. Please see my responses below in blue … and some of them are repeats since you have asked them a few times before.
This is not going anywhere fast; but I have to ask? What is an active BNP graduate??? It’s someone who goes to BNP activities regularly How did you become a graduate of _____ or from _______? I’m going to assume that you’re talking about the retreat classes, so a graduate is someone who goes to the retreats. Maybe if we try filling in the blanks to see if this helps clarify some things?

I am sorry if BNP cannot answer my questions? This really made me LOL … if you are saying that I have not been answering your questions, please I beg of you to refer back to the last 3 pages of this thread as I have answered your questions time and time again. If you feel that my answers aren’t to your liking, then ask me in more detail and maybe I can help you. But right now with post after post from you, it seems as though you’re posting without even reading my response to your previous post and/or questions. but I cant ask my questions any clearer than I have, As for my answers, they are all there for all the world to read, my cell phone number, my email number, my full name is on the forums for all to see, including you. My answers have been as clear as day … because I dont know of any BNP in the Catholic Church.

Who are these priest who adminster the sacraments at a BNP retreat?? There are various priests who administer the Sacraments during the retreats. Are they BNP graduates also some of the priests that administer the Sacraments are BNP graduates, others are not, or do BNP members attend official Catholic retreats outside BNP? Some members do attend official Catholic retreats outside of the BNP … and some do not.

Who founded BNP? God founded the BNP, the Holy Spirit did. forgive me but what does BNP stand for again? BNP is short for Banal Na Pag-aaral which translates to Holy Studies.

How does one become a member of BNP? You attend a retreat.
Hope this helps - Simon

For sure I know what is Indwelling of the Trinity as we all know. Is not only Therese of or little flower. All baptized Christian is the temple of the Holy Spirit not only she …One of your memeber said that she left becuase she find out lack og authenticity or authentic. At first she told us that it was good but later on she recognizes all those things like when you are having adoration in the house . With the "chair "…but after the adoration you just file all the chair together if that is Mahal Na Inkong so you should separate that just like the chalice. After the Mass all those things that uses during the Mass was not leave or used for anything. …because that is a sacred things and reserve for that… but she wwas wondering after the so called adoration in the house they file all the chair together …If that chair is where Jesus sitted so it should be taking in a place that is…Yes I know closing our eyes for focus and concentration or avoidance of distraction. But why is it need to cover the window to make it Dark. And if the person is holy she should practicing and living worthy of it. As we all know by the fruits we can prove the person is Holy or devout. But what I know from one of your memeber that said"she"is living with a married person. How can you validate that.
I dont want make rash judgment for I am not a judge …Bu that kind of living is questionable. Once you are married you stay married. But we are not suppose to be living with someone who is also married…Anyway all of that information comes from one of your member …So I am trying to clarify all of this allegation from one of your members.

With teaching of the Church you cannot get married live with some who is married also.

Ty please answer me. And I will also write Cardina V. to make inquiry.

At first she told us that it was good but later on she recognizes all those things like when you are having adoration in the house The adorations taking place in homes are usually done so because the local parish happens to not have an exposure of the blessed sacrament on that particular Friday. . With the "chair "…but after the adoration you just file all the chair together if that is Mahal Na Inkong so you should separate that just like the chalice.*** I can say as far as my chapter is concerned, the “chair” is separate and different from the simple folding chairs, actually we don’t even use any chairs where I’m from but the one left for MNI. We kneel on the floor.*** After the Mass all those things that uses during the Mass was not leave or used for anything. …because that is a sacred things and reserve for that… but she wwas wondering after the so called adoration in the house they file all the chair together …If that chair is where Jesus sitted so it should be taking in a place that is…Yes I know closing our eyes for focus and concentration or avoidance of distraction. Hi - sorry for the late response as I just got home. Can you direct me to the post that the person made because there are a lot of pages to go through and I doubt I would be able to find the correct post you are referring to?

Just something to add about the “chair.” When I lived in the Philippines as little kid, a lot of our religious family and friends who were not affiliated with BNP had a chair that had a white cloth over it that was near their altars. I don’t think this is a BNP thing, but this might actually be a tradition or something that old school Filipino’s have done. If you’re wondering how I can remember that far back, it’s because when I was a little kid, I was going to sit in the chair and one of the adults had to explain to me that was the chair for God to sit on. As far as I know, they didn’t remove that chair or have anyone sit in it.

Simon

Umm, well I think it’s just post #213 and 214 from what I remember… Hope I haven’t forgotten one from earlier in the day.

ckm8t be careful when you said that Ate Salve is being posses by demon, because if you are wrong you are sinning against the Holy Spirit. Jesus said that blasphemy to the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven.
Polang 1234 the Holy Spirit is first a loving and forgiving God but… also a jealous God and will bring those who masquerades as god leading souls away from the true Catholic Chruch to justice. There is only one true God and Ate Salve is not the one. She commits the blasphemy! BNP’s teachings mirrors the Catholic Church to a point so that they can attract and keep followers— and their MONEY!

You and your BNP friends have been blinded by a clever demon(s).

The Bible tells us, “even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14). Satan will not reveal himself as the bloody butcher he is; he is the master of deception. Jesus Himself told us in John 8:44, referring to Satan, “he is a liar, and the father of lies,” and “he was a murderer from the beginning.”

I pray for your soul Polang 1234…that you see the true angel of light…soon.👍
