Polang 1234 the Holy Spirit is first a loving and forgiving God but… also a jealous God and will bring those who masquerades as god leading souls away from the true Catholic Chruch to justice simon: AGREED, if you’ve read my posts, the BNP has helped bring me back and towards the Catholic Church, not once has anything I’ve learned through my experiences pushed me away from the Catholic Church or question anything that I have learned in the Catholic Chuch. . There is only one true God and Ate Salve is not the one. [simon: AGREED! Who ever claimed that ate salve is God??? [/COLOR]She commits the blasphemy! BNP’s teachings mirrors the Catholic Church to a point so that they can attract and keep followers— and their MONEY! simon: can you please explain how money is involved?

You and your BNP friends have been blinded by a clever demon(s). simon: how so?

The Bible tells us, “even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14). Satan will not reveal himself as the bloody butcher he is; he is the master of deception. Jesus Himself told us in John 8:44, referring to Satan, “he is a liar, and the father of lies,” and “he was a murderer from the beginning.” simon: one thing that I have learned is that satan cannot imitate love, nor can he give love. God’s love and His mercy is unique … from what I’ve been through in the BNP I have experienced that love and mercy from God, yes the one and only true God, the Holy Spirit, God the Father, Jesus Christ.

I pray for your soul Polang 1234…that you see the true angel of light…soon.👍

As I said in my initial post … no matter what answers are given, no matter what explanations are told, it will not be enough to satisfy those who have their minds set that the BNP is from God or not.

This is a thread that will continue to be looped as with other threads in regards to BNP.

How about this … let’s all agree to disagree? People are individuals and have their own beliefs, have their own paths to God, have their own lives to live, have their own experiences, have their own personal relationship with God … let’s respect that regardless of if you agree or disagree with it.

I’m all up for questioning, but when accusations are thrown around there is absolutely nothing positive from that. People will always try to get the last word in, and this thread will just keep going in one big circle.

I am requesting to have this thread closed by the admin, unless we can keep it to a rational discussion, serious questions/inquiries, and civil.

Thanks - Simon

Looped is right!

Hey R.A. (ckm8t), why don’t you just drop this sad vendetta you have against us? You got what you asked for from the three persons you wanted to stop associating with BNP so just cut out the insulting accusations. You only look at one side of the coin and that side comes from rumor, outright lies, and the ever-truthful always infallable internet. I can tell you that the “evidence” you came up with and posted in this thread can be rebuked with little effort as it is false, and you know well that it is. R.A., You went to the class and you know what you experienced. You were so happy that weekend you even came up with a skit for social hour! You felt that love that eminates from our hearts which is something satan cannot give and you know that. I truly pray for you and hope you will just end the rediculous bantor.

The Bible tells us, “even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Cor. 11:14). …Who’s to say Y O U aren’t just that? YOU are putting forth so much effort to try and mislead us from something good!

In any case, peace be with you.

Are you censroing me BigJ? This is an open forum. We are even on the same team! We are both Catholic Christians…but you dont see it that way. This is the core of the problem between the teachings of BNP and the Roman Catholic Church. The teachings of the Catholic Church iare under the authority of Jesus Christ and BNP pretends to be.

I have no problem with any of the people of BNP in a personal level. I will even say some are even better than me. Invite me to the next ultreya and we can talk til dawn! There is no vendetta here other than pointing out what has already been brought to light by priests and bishops of archdioceses across the world when investigating BNP.

If you believe sincerely you have something good for your soul then by all means embrace it dearly. My intent is to keep sight of the other side of the coin as you state for others who are seeking to be more informed.

In all cases, peace be with you.

I repeat Ate Salve is not God, I’m talking about the Holy Spirit that indwells in her. Because when you say that, she (Ate Salve) is being possesed by the devil. That’s when I warned you. when Jesus was also accused by the high priest that his power comes from the devil, he said that blasphemy to the Holy Spirit cannot be forgiven. You have to be careful in what you’re saying.
Anyway thanks for your prayer, it will work better if you remove that hatred in your heart.

****SUMMARY OF BANAL NA PAG-AARAL (BNP); THEIR TEACHINGS AND METHODS ****
(By Rev. Fr. Nicasio Cruz, S.J., 1991) (Edited, commented upon and translated by Rev. Fr. Benjamin Fama. The original document seems to have been intended only for Filipino priests who know Tagalog. For clarity and fuller understanding of the whole document, it was necessary to translate some parts in Tagalog to English and to comment on it.)
(On October 5, 1995, the Vice-Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Manila, Rev Fr. Clemente Ignacio, wrote that Fr. Nicasio Cruz of Ateneo De Manila University “is the most knowledgeable priest in the Archdiocese of Manila with matters to BNP. (He)… was with the association for eighteen years and became a member of the commission (in the Philippines) that investigated the BNP (Letter to Rev. Fr .Benjamin Fama, October 5, 1994) For a few years, Fr. Cruz tried to redirect the misguided BNP, under the leadership of Mrs. Salve Carreon, to the Catholic Church, The BNP refused.).

The teachings of Banal na Pag-aaral (Sacred or Holy Study) are given during the course of a weekend retreat called “Panawagan (invitation)” and patterned after the Cursillo. The rollos (15 in all) dwell mostly on the highly emotional life testimonies of the rollistas (their “conversions” through “Mahal na Ingkong” (Revered Ancient One)). The success of a rollo is measured by the amount of tears shed and loud manifestations of guilt uttered by the candidates. Some rollos run for two or more hours. There is no time given for quiet reflection. The atmosphere is one of darkness, quiet and fear. The candidates are allowed only for two or three hours of sleep during the night.
The central point of all the rollos is the experience of Mahal na Ingkong. The candidates are brainwashed into believing that Mahal na Ingkong is God himself or Jesus Christ.
One effect of the BNP retreat can be to bring the participants back to active participation in their parishes. But they come back to parish life with BNP theology solidly implanted in them. During their vigil of the Blessed Sacrament, the BNP members place an empty chair in the sanctuary near or beside the altar. This chair is supposed to be reserved for Mahal na Ingkong. Oftentimes, the BNP adorers kneel in front of this chair instead of adoring the Blessed Sacrament.
The BNP phenomenon, Mrs. Salve Carreon as Ingkong, occurs in an atmosphere of lowered resistance and in total darkness. Salve as Ingkong appears to change her appearance, size and voice. In private audiences with her chosen followers, she as Ingkong demands total commitment (including financial support) and inspires fear and guilt by alluding in general terms to the individual’s past transgression. She also uses magic words found in the Book of Sacred Magic by Abra-Melin, a book on occultism.

Among the specific doctrinal teachings that BNP members seem unequipped to recognize as contradictory to Catholic teaching are the following:
Code:
 1.	That *Mahal na Ingkong* is the presence of God, moving in and possessing the body of Salve Carreon, speaking and acting through her. She has no control over the phenomenon. *(Spiritism or Spiritualism is common in certain areas of the Philippines. Spiritism is a belief that the dead communicate with living, usually through a medium. Sometimes, not always, the medium becomes unconscious, in a state of ecstasy, when the spirit of the dead takes over the living body of the medium. Then the spirit speaks, even using the mannerisms of the dead who was summoned. The medium is said to be no longer in control of her voice, actions, etc. A case of bodily possession. It is also called necromancy in Scripture. King Saul did something that was strongly condemned and rebuked in the bible (Dt. 18:10-11, Is 8:19), he consulted the medium of Endor to communicate with Samuel, the great holy prophet of God (1Sam 28:7-19). Some spiritualists in the Philippines become a medium not only for the ordinary dead people of the past, but also for the saintly dead, like St. Mary Magdalene, St. Joseph, St. Teresa of Avila, the Blessed Virgin Mary, etc. Others even claim to be mediums for the Infant of Prague, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
That Mrs. Salve Carreon claims to be a medium for Jesus Christ or God IS NOT SOMETHING NEW OR ORIGINAL.* It is absolutely devastating and dangerous for her followers because she claiming to be the holiest of God’s medium, has absolute control over some areas of their lives, like spiritual life, marriages, new beliefs, finances, etc.)
Code:
 2.	That the birthday of Jesus Christ/*Ingkong* is celebrated on October 23 and Salve in the guise of *Mahal na Ingkong* is seen as Jesus Christ’s second incarnation (coming into flesh) on earth.

 3.	That the Twelve Tribes of Israel according to Salve/Ingkong are: The Blessed Tribes: Judah= Philippines; Simeon= Israel; Levi= Catholic Priest; Issachar= Finland; Joseph=USA, Britain; Benjamin= Iceland, Norway. The Cursed Tribes; Reuben= France; Gad= Switzerland; Asher= Belgium, Luxemburg; Naphtali= Sweden; Dan= Ireland; Zebulun= Holland.
In compliance with Canon 301, after a thorough and exhaustive investigation and inquiries, the Manila Archdiocesan Commission on Visions and Phenomena recommends the total banning of Banal na Pag-aaral headed by Mrs. Salve Carreon alias Mrs. Remedios B. Rios Stewart for the following reasons:
1.0 UNORTHODOX TEACHINGS
1.1 Salve Carreon as Mahal na Ingkong is the Second Coming of the Son of God on earth.
1.2 Salve as God is worthy of worship and adoration.
1.3 The next Testament of the Bible will be the Story of the BNP and Salve Carreon.
1.4 At the end of the world, those who will be saved will be mostly BNP graduates.
1.5 The Catholic Church will be replaced by Banal na Pag-aaral.
1.6 Encountering Mahal na Ingkong in the person of Ate Salve is far superior to the presence of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament.
1.7 Serving as staff or auxiliaries during the mission classes excuses from Sunday Mass obligation.
1.8 The real birthday of Jesus as Mahal na Ingkong is October 23.
1.9 The woman crowned with twelve stars in the Book of Revelations refers to Salve Carreon.
1.10 “The phenomenon,” Mahal na Ingkong, demands complete surrender of the BNP followers will to the will of Mahal na Ingkong. It leads to family disintegration, divorces and even loss of property.
1.0 through 1.10 - ALL FALSE, with the exeption of 1.8 - MNI has told us this.

RE: Banal Na Pag-aaral (BNP) and Father Garcia
It has been brought to my attention that a certain priest by the name of Father Ben Garcia, affiliated with the BNP, is in the Archdiocese saying Masses for the aforementioned group. In light of the new policy decreed by Archbishop Niederauer, that all priests exercising public ministry in the Archdiocese will require faculties, I am, therefore, calling the attention of the Catholic Faithful to refrain from attending **Fr. Garcia’**s services or that of any other priests coming to the Archdiocese without any faculties. When in doubt, consult the Chancery.
In this connection, I would also like to mention that the BNP, which originated in Manila, Philippines, has been banned to operate in the Archdiocese of Manila and subsequently, in many dioceses of the United States, including the Archdiocese of San Francisco, as per letter of the then Archbishop of San Francisco, John R. Quinn, dated October 12, 1989, addressed to all Pastors. The letter says, inter alia, “as of October 12, 1989, no BNP activities are permitted to be held in any church facilities within the Archdiocese.” To my recollection, that has not been changed, although it has been reported that the group is still operating in a couple of parishes. This must be stopped without delay. (For any questions, you may contact my office or Monsignor Fred Bitanga or Monsignor Floro Arcamo.)
We pray that the Resin Lord will bless and guide us all.
Gabriel of 12;

Thanks for the information, this thread has become informative on both sides, for one to draw a conclusion.

I was probing to see if this group BNP has entered my diocese under a different name. This new group in my area call themselves catholic, are teaching and administering sacraments with a priest that our Bishop does not recognize as possessing all his faculties.

I have found many of our Spanish speaking community flocking to this new unauthentic catholic church to have their children and young adults receive sacraments due to low costs and time convenience. When these come to our Parish to recieve Confirmation or Matrimony, our Bishop do not recognize their sacraments as valid, so they have to redo their sacraments. This new catholic community has caused much confusion among the body of Jesus Christ. But I cannot confirm if this is BNP in my diocese.

I believe all Catholics should follow protocol by listening to their pastors and Bishops (our shepherds) before entering BNP until the Catholic Church makes this BNP worthy of belief. For a Catholic to enter BNP at this time enter at their own risk without the blessing of the Catholic Church.

If BNP is of God we have nothing to fear, but if it is of the Evil one posing as an angel, the Woman and her seed will deliver it a deadly head blow to it, in the end.

**Those Catholics who are not informed such as I am, I hold to this warning from scripture;

Galatians 1;6
5 6 I am amazed that you are so quickly forsaking the one who called you by (the) grace (of Christ) for a different gospel
7
(not that there is another). But there are some who are disturbing you and wish to pervert the gospel of Christ.
8
But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach (to you) a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed! 7
9
As we have said before, and now I say again, if anyone preaches to you a gospel other than the one that you received, let that one be accursed! **
10
Am I now currying favor with human beings or God? Or am I seeking to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a slave of Christ. 8
11
9 Now I want you to know, brothers, that the gospel preached by me is not of human origin.
12
For I did not receive it from a human being, nor was I taught it, but it came through a revelation of Jesus Christ. 10
13
11 For you heard of my former way of life in Judaism, how I persecuted the church of God beyond measure and tried to destroy it,
14
and progressed in Judaism beyond many of my contemporaries among my race, since I was even more a zealot for my ancestral traditions.
15
But when (God), who from my mother’s womb had set me apart and called me through his grace, was pleased
16
to reveal his Son to me, so that I might proclaim him to the Gentiles, I did not immediately consult flesh and blood, 12
17
nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me; rather, I went into Arabia 13 and then returned to Damascus.
18
14 15 Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to confer with Cephas and remained with him for fifteen days.

When St. Paul recieved his new Revelation from God, he sought out the Catholic Church Peter (Cephas) specifically. This is what BNP needs to do first before teaching the body of Jesus Christ. What is miraculous here is that Pauls new revelation and teachings did not conflict with Peters. So should it be with BNP and Peter (Pope) today if it is Truth, because Truth does not conflict.

BNP would not go by any other name, unless the full unabreviated name is stated - Banal Na Pag-aaral.

BNP would not go by any other name, unless the full unabreviated name is stated - Banal Na Pag-aaral.
I’ve heard BNP referred to as “Holy Studies” which is the translation fron Tagalog to English, but other than that, there hasn’t been any variations or any other name.

YES, forgot, English translation too. That is how the Pope greeted our youth in Rome Sept 2.

BNP would not go by any other name, unless the full unabreviated name is stated - Banal Na Pag-aaral.
At this point all this Catholic can say is that I know my shepherd and I know his voice and my shepherd calls me by name. I only hear my shepherds voice in the Catholic Church, all other names this sheep does not hear his shepherds voice calling me.

Peace be with you:)

In response to post #226, I have seen that message. To be clear, let me say that in my experience we do not accept the administration of sacraments from any priest *** not*** in good standing with the Catholic Church. Like I said before, in the end this will all come out in the wash. Earlier it was mentioned that Satan cannot give love. He can certainly disguise himself and be quite attractive, but no love. This movement, the BNP, certainly is of God - as it is overflowing with love. I experience this at each gathering. Certainly no one HAS to join the BNP to find God, it’s just a wonderful medium and gift in which to do so. What is sad is that there is so much negativity toward this great gift of a movement by people, lay persons and clergy (no offense) alike - who either take it out of context, jump to rediculous conclusions of cultism, or simply do not know about it and fear what they do not know - which is an unfortunate nature of humanity.

Peace be with you!

Gabriel of 12;
I agree with you that satan cannot love; For God is Love. This does not exclude the enemies of God from loving their own. The great Love of God is displayed when one can love his enemies.

If your BNP movement is of God, do not be moved by skepticism, our Catholic Saints and Martyrs have blazed a path of endurance and perseverance. The Catholic Church has lived in every age since the resurrection and has suffered persecution from each of these ages. But Jesus Christ has built her on “Rock”. As Jesus quotes "the gates of hell will come against you, but they will NEVER prevail.

But if BNP is not of God, it will blow away in the wind. It would be a positive sign if BNP leaders remain in communication with the magisterium of the Catholic Church until clarification or confirmation of BNP status on its ministry.

Peace be with you

BigJ73, I am glad you posted all this. I have searching I almost wanted to give up. Thank you for all your sincerity. My friends told me some of that. But I really wanted some proof to approved what she told me. One of my friend already informed our priest about BNP but seems difficult to explain this to him. He told her to find more documents. So if you can can you send that a ducument about BNP . I even tried to forward this to my our parish priest but it goes back. Is there any way that you may send it. Is possible to send through my email add?

BigJ one of the member of BNP’s said that their name is longer BNP. Do you have any idea? What about their member bringing the statue of the Blessed Mother and Sacred Heart families any comment about it?

Hello Gracie,
Code:
Not sure which document you speak of, I'm guessing there are many, but what does your priest want to know about? Perhaps you can print some of these posts and give them to him? Perhaps you can introduce him to this forum and he can post as well? It's all up to you, but I'm up in Sacramento and don't have access to any official documents. Also, the BNP name has not changed. Maybe you heard the English ***translation*** of Banal na Pag-aaral - which is simply Holy Studies.
God’s blessings…

Hello!
Code:
I thank you for the first two paragraphs! And to answer the 3rd - don't worry, after 41 years and exponential growth since founding, we will not be going anywhere. And, the leadership's communication with the Church is ongoing. As with anything the Church does, progress is slow, but progress is being made.
God’s blessings!

***Please note that I copied and typed the following article from the letters from the church’ files. I had problem attaching them at the footnote. Maybe because it’s Sunday, and it has to be reviewed by the administrator before it can be viewed. I will post them later.

For everyone’s information, especially to Mr. Believer, this information came from the Catholic church or priests (Commissions on Vision and Phenomenon) who did the study group about BNP movement. I did not write it, I copied it to be read easily.***

WARNING: About “Banal Na Pag-aaral”
Leader: Mrs. Salvacion (Sister Salve) Aguillon Carreon, alias Mrs. Remedios Rios Stuart
(August 15, 1996
, Sixth Revision)

***Information and Explanation Of Terms In The Title: *** “Banal Na Pag-aaral” are Filipino words, meaning “Sacred or Holy Study.” On March 14, 1944 Salvacion Pacradona was born in Dagami, Leyte, Philippines. On *January 16, 1965 *Miss Aguillon married Mr. Delfin Pablo Carreon at St. Joseph The Worker Catholic Church, Cloverleaf, Balintawak, Quezon City, Philippines. Her name became Mrs. Salvacion Pactadona Aguillon Carreon. She had 4 children with Mr. Carreon and later separated from him, but never divorced him civilly in the United States of America. There is no civil divorce in the Philippines. In 1968 she founded the BNP in Novaliches, Quezon City, Philippines. As a sign of respect, some began to call her Sister Salve even though she was never a religious sister. Mrs. Carreon changed her name and identity by tampering with her papers and document, e.g. passport on *August 20, 1984 *and birth certificate on August 21, 1984, to Miss Remedios Bautista Rios in order to come to the United States. On February 4, 1985, under her new name, she married Mr. Estanislao (Nilo) Hokson Stuart at the Candlelight Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas Nevada, outside of the Catholic Church. She committed civil fraud, civil bigamy and adultery in the Catholic Church. Under her total new identity, she is now a Naturalized American Citizen. On September 16, 1993, she filed for an annulment of her marriage to Mr. Carreon at the Metropolitan Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Manila. As of February 23, 1996, her annulment was still pending. Without any annulment, through trickery she invalidly married Mr. Stuart on June 12, 1993 at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 14085 Peyton Drive, Chino Hills, CA 91709. The couple subtly deceived Fr. Michael Maher. Her new name is Mrs. Remedies Bautista Rios Stuart. She fabricated her church documents to fit her completely new identity. The actual marriage took place at St. Elizabeth Seton Catholic Church, 2713 South Grove Avenue, Ontario, CA 91761, because St. Paul the Apostle Church did not have a church facility yet. The invalid marriage was recorded at St Paul the Apostle Church. These great dishonesties and manipulations are with the full approval of “Mahal Na Ingkong,” a spirit and a god that she and her followers claim to possess her entirely at times. Evidently, Mrs. Carreon deceived the civil authorities of the United States of America, the Catholic Church and God. These data can be picked up at public records.
Hello Everyone! I’ve been googling the net today to find out what the world has to say about BNP (Banal na Pag-aaral). I’m surprised to find this thread, which provided a lot of both positive and negative insights, so I immediately signed-up today so that I can post my own questions and views about this matter.

To start off, I found the information posted by “BNP Adorer”, which i quoted above, very disturbing. Is there anyone who can refute these strong allegations against the integrity and moral character of Ate Salve? I didn’t quote everything that “BNP Adorer” posted, but I hope someone can provide concrete evidence to disprove all the attacks against Ate Salve’s moral attibutes. Why? Because of all the evidence presented here to prove that BNP is a so-called “cult” or non-Catholic, these allegations about Ate Salve’s character are the ones that really shook me.

As you have probably guessed, I am also a graduate of one of the BNP “Panawagan” classes in the Philippines way back in 1999. I admit that I found the “In-dwelling” phenomena quite disturbing and I didn’t have a solid stand on whether it is possibly God’s work or not, so after the retreat, I decided to just pick up all the good lessons that I learned out of that spiritually-renewing experience and I continued with my journey to build on my personal relationship with God by joining other more widely-accepted Catholic groups, like the CYA (Christ’s Youth in Action), and by daily Bible readings, daily prayer time, etc… I also frequented the PEA Adoration chapel and the receipt of the Sacraments of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist. In short, I decided to keep an open mind about BNP, kept all good stuff that I learned, but just continued to observe them from a distance.

I attest that a majority of BNP members have a very holy demeanor, which I believe would be the result of the regular PEA Adoration vigils, Rosaries, Masses, and receipt of the Sacrament of Reconciliation and the Sacrament of Holy Eucharist (in case you haven’t noticed yet, these are the highlights of the BNP and I have consistently observed this first-hand from the active members surrounding me, i.e. my mom, my godmother, close neighbours, etc.). Because of this, I didn’t really think that BNP is the work of the other side.

However, if the chairperson of this organization has falsified documents (e.g. passport, birth certificate, marriage certificate), then I feel obligated to find the truth about this.

I’ve read good posts from Believe, BigJ, SRaymundo, etc. I hope you would also be able to provide proof that BNP Adorer’s allegations about Ate Salve’s character are all false.

Forgive me for the long post.

Thanks in advance!

Hello Lady Di,
I have also seen this post before, nearly every sentence contains a lie and I very seriously doubt there are public records to prove any of the false info contained therein. Refuting that message is lengthy as I can respond line-by-line, so I have responded privately. I hope it helps settle some of the concerns you have. If you have more feel free to post or contact me on PM.
