If youâre speaking about filmmaking craft and not simply content, then I would argue The Last Temptation of Christ is a far superior film.It was better than The Temptation of Christ!
Um⌠What?**Schindlerâs List ** Torture porno takes historical liberties
Thanks for the correction. I havenât seen it since it was released at the theatres. I donât remember much about of - just that it was forgettable! If youâre speaking about filmmaking craft and not simply content, then I would argue The Last Temptation of Christ is a far superior film.
For me, it was bad in the sense that I found it rather boring. (Forrest Gump Movie)Really?
I have to admit - I have not seen this one. I didnât know Bruce Jenner had ever acted! In a movie I mean. Poor Steve Gutenberg!I have to throw in one which I happened upon during a night of insomnia. One of those cringe-worthy bad films thatâs so awful that I laughed hysterically through the film at how bad the plot, dialogue, acting and campy dance sequences were; the only reason I kept watching was because I was laughing so hard. Ladies and Gentlemen:
Canât Stop the Music
Movie musical from the end of the disco era (when it was dead already) starring Steve Gutenberg, Bruce Jenner and the Village People (yes THE Village People). Of course they couldnât blatantly come out with the homosexual undertones around the formation of the disco group so they made up for it in very corny dialogue and laughably bad double-entendres. Not to mention the directorâs claim to fame was playing Rosie in the old Bounty paper towel commercialsâŚ
As mentioned on the other thread, I disagree. One of my favorite movies from last year.Arrival. -![]()
I read some reviews of the movie and it was praised up and down and left and right and sideways. I thought it was boring and stupid. I know it was based on a book. It was just nothing to me. I am not a fan of Amy Adams. I like the other actor, but his talents were wasted in this movie. I donât understand how anyone thought it should be up for best picture. As mentioned on the other thread, I disagree. One of my favorite movies from last year.
I liked the film, though hard to watch and theologically problematic, in parts. The Passion of the Christ is not an easy movie to watch that is for sure, but I do think
it was a well made movie.
Yuk. Hated that film.If youâre speaking about filmmaking craft and not simply content, then I would argue The Last Temptation of Christ is a far superior film.
Any gangsta movie, from Reservoir Dogs to The Godfather, where the narrative goes into the lives of the mobsters, is terrible. The Untouchables, however, is a different story -The Godfather, Part 3. :dts: Nope.
It doesnât count. Itâs terrible. There is no Part 3. :tsktsk:

I think Brother Bear falls into the same category. My kids liked it. I thought it was strange.I know I will get some dissent, but I am not a fan of Brave, an animated film. I found it to be very odd. I will admit that perhaps I need to give it another viewing.
