True, being pushy does put alot of people off, but it doesn’t put off Baptists. I think of Baptists as the “big friendly dogs” of the body of Christ. If you don’t play rough with a big friendly dog, or be theologicaly pushy with Baptists, you’re not enjoying them as God meant them to be enjoyed. I’m not saying to be pushy with everyone – just be pushy with those rolly-polly Baptists.
But you are making a sweeping generalization too. “ALL” Baptists are not neccesarily “pushy” about their beliefs. I was raised in the Southern Baptist Church, and didn’t really see that. Some of the stricter, old-fashioned baptists are kind of like that, but then again I have known people in many denominations who were!! 😛

We ALL generalize. One of our downfalls.

I have the gut feeling that on some lonely Baptist internet forum there is a thread titled ‘CATHOLICS, can they ever change?’🙂

Hi,
Mystics are The Saints or others who have foreseen the future and predicted accurately the comings of the world. Almost like prophecies. 🙂
Can you give me examples of mystics predictions that have come true?

I have met Baptists that have changed. The one I know changes at least every couple years from one branch of Baptist to another. Sometimes he even changes his stand on alcohol depending on if its during a holiday or wedding. Change can happen often in that faith. Whats the big deal? They dont think the Pope is the AntiChrist still do they? So, its fine by me for them to stay Baptist if they want to.
I say be the best Baptist you can be then. Better than nothing I guess.
