I’m emphatically ANYBODY BUT YANKEES, so fan of the Red Sox as the Prime Rivals. Also Baltimore, as a longtime Ripken (both) fan.

BTW, has anybody else noticed that this country was mostly on the right track back when basketball uniforms were tight, and baseball uniforms were baggy? Just sayin’. 😉

This isn’t the start to the season this Royals fan was expecting 😦
Really? It mirrors every Royals season I can remember. Opening day for a royals fan is the day the royals are eliminated from the post season.
Ditto for the mariners fan above.😃

Someone needs to tell my L.A. Angels that the season has begun, and these games that they are loosing-count!

Don’t care if my Royals win tomorrow. It will be a day for Boston to celebrate, to thank police and EMT’s and more importantly, begin the healing process.

Are you looking forward to Opening Day? What are your favorite teams? I like the Minnesota Twins, Detroit Tigers, and the Baltimore Orioles. I went to Catholic school for a while with John Smoltz, formerly of the Atlanta Braves.
Ha, ha, guess who is in first place in the Central Division ? Linus2nd

Unbelievable that the Royals got out of Boston yesterday with a sweep of the DH. Unlike previous years, the Royals have a legit MLB rotation that is going DEEP into every game and keeping the bullpen fresh, perhaps too fresh. Seems like an entirety since either Chen or Hochevar made an appearance out of the 'pen.

Not to worried about the offense or lack thereof, the rotation is keeping the Royals in every game.

The twins are postponed today due to weather (again) and are expecting to play a doubleheader tomorrow despite the possibility of more than 5 inches of snow overnight. We’ll see.

I bet the Astros are glad to be part of the AL West now where they have teams like the Mariners they can use to improve their standing.

If the Royals can get Mustakis and Hochaver hitting, there will be no looking back. 😃

Stealing this from a Royals message board. If they were to win 90 games, i’d probably wet myself.
Our low point of the season came on June 4, when we lost to the Twins 3-0 and fell to 9 games under .500 (23-32).
That was exactly two months ago. That’s interesting because we’ve played 53 games since then, and we currently have 54 games remaining in the season. So this is like the midpoint between then and the end of the season.
The Royals have gone 33-20 since June 4 (0.623).
If they maintain that pace for the last 54 games, now we’re talking 90-72.
Royals are the lead story on ESPN.com
