Pagans talk about a witchcraft revival and a Pagan resurrection in the 20th Century. We might expect every witch to wear a black hat, carry a broom stick and have a black cat. However, witchcraft is disguised in our culture. There’s lot of aspects of popular paganism which have grown in at least the last 50 years. Don’t discriminate against me but I’m a full blown Christian.
  • New Age movement and hippy movement
  • Green Man and Green Wicca reflected in the ecology vibe in the 60s
  • Neo-shamanism;Timothy Leary, trance music and LSD
  • Non-Christian sexual mores and nudity
  • Short term marriages, gay marriages and polyamory.
  • Fortune telling; tarot reading, astrology, palmistry, scrying, Gypsy Lee
  • Alternative therapies such as Aromatherapy which has come from Wicca and Crystal healing.
  • Home incense burning
  • Herbal lore;herbal teas, herbal medicines, herbal oils, herbal cookery.
  • Meditation on nature (which has come from Eastern religions)
  • Popular occult; Marilyn Manson and Nirvana
  • Cult pagan films such as Harry Potter
  • Worship of old pagan Gods such as Pan (Old Horny), Odin (Santa Claus), Herne the Hunter (Rudolph), Eostre (Easter Bunny)

I wasn’t aware Nirvana was occult, nor herbal teas and Santa Claus. This seems like a bit too much.

Are you trolling? Seriously…burning incense? Meditation on nature!!! You even claim that meditation has come from eastern religions, but this is somehow related to witchcraft???

You obviously know absolutely nothing about eastern religions.

  • New Age movement and hippy movement -Hippies were for drugs, I’ve not heard of witchcraft. New age I can see being taken to witchcraft.
  • Green Man and Green Wicca reflected in the ecology vibe in the 60sWicca is obviously witchcraft.
  • Neo-shamanism;Timothy Leary, trance music and LSD Obviously.
  • Non-Christian sexual mores and nudityDepends. If it is for pagan purposes, it can be used for witchcraft.
  • Short term marriages, gay marriages and polyamory.**Certainly disordered, but not witchcraft or paganism. **
  • Fortune telling; tarot reading, astrology, palmistry, scrying, Gypsy LeeDefinately.
  • Alternative therapies such as Aromatherapy which has come from Wicca and Crystal healing. I fail to see how using God given plants for healing oneself is witchcraft. It they are used for pagan/witchcraft intent then yes. But most people it is not witchcraft.
  • Home incense burningSo scented candles that girls sell for their school is pagan?
  • Herbal lore;herbal teas, herbal medicines, herbal oils, herbal cookery.Once again, using materials God gave us to heal ourselves is not bad. It is purely about intent.
  • Meditation on nature (which has come from Eastern religions)
  • Popular occult; Marilyn Manson and Nirvananever heard of them.
  • Cult pagan films such as Harry PotterOk, now your just trolling. Harry Potter isn’t real.
  • Worship of old pagan Gods such as Pan (Old Horny), Odin (Santa Claus), Herne the Hunter (Rudolph), Eostre (Easter Bunny)Santa? So for years my parents practices witchcraft because they pretended that Santa was real? Oh no.

The late Archbishop Fulton Sheen was on a plane trip once, and when they passed around asking about what he’d like to eat for his meal, he gracefully declined so he could fast (it was Lent). A young lady sitting next to him also gracefully declined, so he tried to strike up a conversation with her. “Oh, are you a Catholic fasting for Lent, too?” She said, “No, I’m a witch and I’m fasting for abortion.” She then proceeded to fill him in for the next two hours on what the witches were about, etc.

The moral demise of a nation always precedes it’s ultimate demise.

I was reading this and the big thing that irked me was the Rudolph comment. Rudolph was created as a Macys ad campaign. I don’t think that anyone worships him. Maybe people do though. If I was going to pick a company mascot to worship I would pick the walmart smiley face. He has the power of roll back!

I love burning incense at home…and herbal tea. And Nirvana. lol!

Rudolph was created for Montgomery Ward department stores. 😉 He is still one of my favorite characters.

Well, whew…:coolinoff:… I sure am glad that evil 20th Century is over.

(You do realize we are now into the 21st century? Right?) 😃

Goodness, I never knew that Vic’s vapor rub was the devil! Actually, aroma therapy works off the principle that the mucous membranes in your nose are thin (they are) and therefore easily absorb disolved particles in the air (they do). In this manner, with a chemical induced by smell, one CAN treat minor ailments.
  • Home incense burning
I’m pretty certain that making my house smell nice does not count as witchcraft (though I’m much more partial to reed diffusers these days)
  • Herbal lore;herbal teas, herbal medicines, herbal oils, herbal cookery.
DOWN WITH THE OREGANO!!!

Actually, along with the aromatherapy, herbal medicines and teas work on the principle that unextracted (aka, natural) chemicals can be used in products to produce medicinal effects. It’s generally the same concept as western prescription medicine, minus all the unnatural chemical processing.
  • Worship of old pagan Gods such as Pan (Old Horny), Odin (Santa Claus), Herne the Hunter (Rudolph), Eostre (Easter Bunny)
Saint Nicolaus of Myra (commonly known today as Santa Claus) would probably take offense at being likened to Odin, especially since St Nicolaus bears no resemblence to Odin in appearance or practice.

Rudolph the red nosed ad ploy sounds a lot more like herne the hunter’s prey than a hunter himself.

And Eostre is the ancient barbarian word for Spring. The only person to record Eostre as a goddess was the venerable Bede, who mistakenly wrote said fact centuries after Eostre (spring) celebrations had fallen out of practice. Bottom line: there never was a goddess named Eostre who was worshipped. The term easter just means spring or rebirth (aka, new life), hence why in English speaking countries Pasca came to be known as Easter.

Guess I have to throw out those headbands and tie-died clothing.

Does this also mean when I place myrosemary-infused heat packs on my sore back I am practicing witchcraft? I just thought it smelled nice. Silly me. And no more herbal tea? Chamomile? Peppermint? It will make a huge dent in my Celestial Seasons stash.

I will tell you, I would rather smell incense than my two dogs. That isone reason we use aromatic sprays. We are espeicially partial to those timed ones that spray every 30 seconds…

And I had no idea that when I went for a walk in my woods, I was practicing witchery. I believed I was meditating on the goodness of Creation. 🤷

Vics vaporub is probably alright but I wouldn’t use massive amounts. Aromatherapy means essential oils which you rub on your body. Proper pagans make essential oils out of abortifacient herbs. Most essential oils are dangerous during pregnancy and are called emmenagogues (menstrual stimulators) or abortifacients. As they come from paganism, they can kill. I’ve done a lot of research and it’s a witchcraft revival that’s been engineered by Gerald Gardner who’s a practising occultist. It looks harmless but it’s not always harmless.

Some information on the safety of aromatherapy essential oils in pregnancy. Everything else I said is true aswell.

The website you linked says “some” essential oils are not goof for pregnancy, and “certain” compounds in oils have side-effects. I think your motivation is pure, but you might be blowing things up a little bit!

Aroma-therapy is a very broad term that can mean many things besides the use of essential oils. It is a therapy based on aroma. Plugging in a glad air-freshner, taking a deep breath, and relaxing can be considered aroma-therapy. Lets not throw the baby out with the bathwater! 🙂

Also, the statement “as they comes from paganism, they can kill” doesn’t hold much weight, you know. Christmas trees come from paganism and they are mostly harmless. Right?

So herbal remedies are purely the domain of pagans? Ridiculous.

Herbal Cookery? Seriously? So it’s Paganism to have mint sauce with lamb chops?

If herbal cookery is paganism then KFC have a lot to answer for.
