Beck also said at the rally,

" *Something beyond imagination is happening," he said. “America today begins to turn back to God.”

“For too long, this country has wandered in darkness,” said Beck, a Fox News host. He said it was now time to “concentrate on the good things in America, the things we have accomplished and the things we can do tomorrow”*

Here is my favorite quote:

"Faith is in short supply," Beck said. "To restore America, we must restore ourselves."

We must restore ourselves. Beck is spot on.

I was watching on ustream Ishii. wow! And following a thread on another forum. What a wonderful turnout. Friends of mine are there. I wanted to go, but our rural Pennsylvania county filled up three buses so no room. The next county down from us sent four. People in this country are hungering for patriotism, love of country and love of God. They are middle America, and they are awake! This gives me great hope!

Wow… that pic is awesome.

I like the things Glenn Beck says… I can read his books. I just can’t stand to listen to him saying them. He is too emotional for me, I guess. And I cry at movies, so go fig. He just seems to be so hyperventilating… the first time I saw him on Fox News, he was crying. I was like, wha…? I respect a man who is honest about his emotion, and even who cries when it is appropriate. I just think Glenn Beck is hyperemotional, and it turns me off.

Iit only took six posts for the race card to be played in this thread… As Charles Krauthammer pointed out in a column yesterday charges of bigotry is all the Left has left.
 
I guess my eyes are worse than I thought. I can’t determine the race of anyone in that picture. 😉

So do we turn back to the Mormon vision of God or the Jewish, or Catholic, or Protestant?
 
Feanor, at least one black person was speaking on the stage… that would be Alveda King. And Albert Pujols was honored for his charity work. Yeah, those two are SOO white! I can totally see all the hoods…

You are the racist one for assuming people of color can’t be conservative. Crawl back into your hole. If the best you can do is call the whole rally racist, it just shows the weakness of your position.

I can see November from my house… 👍

I think 2 out of thousands sounds about right. Conservative Americans all hopped up on Beck. I can see the patriotism from my house!
 
Neither you nor I can discern the color of anyone in that picture! It’s too small. And I don’t look for that anyway. The fact that you do says a lot more about you than about Glenn Beck.

That rally was open to everyone and anyone who wanted to attend; black, blue, yellow, green, purple or white. If not enough black people didn’t show up for you, that is not the organizers fault, they did not exclude anybody, as you so imply.

I see you have taken Dr.King’s words to heart. If you can’t add something of worth to the discussion, why bother to post.

Oh, I know that it was an open event. I just wonder why his message doesn’t seem to resonate with minorities. I mean, I thought Mr. Beck has stated that the goal is to “reclaim the civil rights movement.” Seems to me that minorities would be drawn to a celebration of Civil Rights but for some reason they don’t seem to be showing up. . . . . 🤷
