No, gun ownership is also a safeguard against tyranny. You’ll notice gun ownership is illegal in countries run by totalitarian dictatorships. If you think we are far from tyranny think again: “scratch a liberal, find a fascist” - meaning: behind every liberal do-gooder is a budding fascist willing to deprive others of their rights and freedoms. Look at what liberals have done to the unborn.

But according to Michelle Bachmann and Darrell Issa who would be the next chairman of an influential House committee, they’re going to be so busy issuing subpoenas and conducting investigations it appears they will actually have little time for actual legislating.

So lets see repeal the healthcare law. Repeal Social Security. Repeal Medicare. And someday we’re going to have people in their 80s whose retirements have been shot by the private market trying to buy affordable adequate private insurance policies with pre-existing conditions. Assuming the private insurance industry doesn’t simply decide not to offer policies for seniors with pre-existing conditions as some have announced they will not offer to children now with pre-existing conditions. So good luck to us with all of that. God bless us.
 
That could be, but you don’t seem to have much of a grasp on what “tyranny” is.
It’s easier to nip “tyranny” in the bud with elections (hurry November) than to have to use guns against it later.😉

Well by your admission, you don’t seem to mind the establishment. I hate it, therefore I pretty much feel oppressed from sun up to sun down. And transitory? We have been living under a plutocratic oligarchy for a long time. However, under Lincoln the oligarchs went from being champions of liberty to being champions of the big, consolidated nanny state, particularly when they sold shares of the United States to European central banking concerns after the so-call “Civil War” (more appropriately, the failed War for Southern Independence).

In early America, only white male property owners could vote - about 15% of the population. Why wasn’t that a plutocratic oligarchy?

Another example of citing your own claims and then attributing those claims to the GOP agenda. I’m beginning to think this is a defense mechanism.

By the way, Congressional oversight is necessary. You can’t conduct oversight by faith alone. Subpoenas and investigations are required.
 
Abortion is killing the most innocent of human beings, that is not disputed.
👍 Abortion is against God’s will, no one has the right to kill that which God has created. It is an intrinsic evil, being involved in abortion in anyway, committing it, supporting it, voting for it, is a distruction of the soul.

No. Your comments were well beyond the issue of Congressional oversight. As I said previously, your post was another example of citing your claims (ex. repeal Social Security and Medicare) and then attributing those claims to the GOP agenda. You’re welcome to play free and loose with the facts, but I will call you on it.
