I receive on the tongue, partly because it is the normative way to receive and partly because it makes it more intentional for me. I can mindlessly stuff food in my mouth all day long, but at my age it is much rarer that I allow someone else to place food directly into my mouth.
That anyone (or everyone!) else chooses to receive in the hand bothers me not a bit.
But as a postscript: It does make me sad that the precious blood is so infrequently offered by intinction at Roman Rite liturgies in my area. In order to allow (I am told) communicants the option of an indulged practice, a method of administration that is always and everywhere valid is completely eliminated?
