Highly underrated show. My guess is that it will be “rediscovered” in twenty years and given it’s due.

It got a lot of love from the awards shows but never really developed a mass cultural following.

I am able to watch The Americans on Amazon Prime and have been doing so this week .

What I find annoying is the sexual content . I don’t want to watch couples in various states of undress , getting into different antics on the bed , stripping each other .

Last night I watched episode 8 of series 1 , and there were three different couples “at it” in that one episode .

It’s so unnecessary .

Yeah, if sexual content bothers you then it might not be for you.

Gratuitous sex

Does not contribute to the plot or advance the story line but unfortunately sex seems to sell.
 
Sexual content bothers me since I do not consider sex a spectator sport.

Frankly, it’s boring.

I’d rather watch ice hockey.
