My wife just signed us up for Epoch Times. Seems like a good publication.
The group’s news sites and YouTube channels have spread conspiracy theories such as QAnon anti-vaccination propaganda.

Promoting pseudoscience alone should be enough to want to avoid them.A factual search shows that they have failed several fact checks.
Further, the Epoch Times has a section called Beyond Science that publishes pseudoscience news, such as Supernormal Abilities Developed Through Meditation: Dr. Dean Radin Discusses. Finally, the above referenced NBC News report states “In addition to claims that alien abductions are real and the drug epidemic was engineered by the “deep state,” the channel pushes the QAnon conspiracy theory, which falsely posits that the same “Spygate” cabal is a front for a global pedophile ring being taken down by Trump.”
- Jack Andraka, 15, came up with a “100 percent accurate” cancer-detection method that was “168 times faster, 26,000 times less expensive, and 400 times more sensitive” than current methods. – False
- Dubious Posts Tie Political Families to Ukraine Work – False
- No, Yellowstone volcano’s eruption threat level did not increase in 2018 – False (Corrected)
- Concerned artificial intelligence researchers hurriedly abandoned an experimental chatbot program after they realized that the bots were inventing their own language. – False
Overall, we rate The Epoch Times borderline Questionable and Right Biased based on editorial positions that consistently favor the right. We also rate them factually Mixed due to the publication of pseudoscience and the promotion of pro-Trump propaganda and conspiracy theories as well as failed fact checks. (M. The scientific studies, scientific experts take, and evidence provided in the documentary should be enough for those with critical thinking skills to ask what analysis, experiment or research was conducted by the instant critics? Is it not they who were too rash or quick on their condemnations here? Is it they who succumbed to considerations other than science, facts, and analyses, say perhaps to ‘political correctness’?These links should be enough for anyone with critical thinking skills to give The Epoch Times a miss.
As Hominem? I posted sources. It was their attacks not mine. As for reviewing their methods, please post a link to a peer-reviewed journal article. That is the only way I can properly analyse their claims.Maybe try to review the methods and the robustness of what is put forward in the documentary instead of making ad hominen attacks against the Epoch times.
Josie,All you’ve managed to illustrate with your post is YOUR OWN BIAS towards anything remotely to the right, i.e., I make it a POINT to read BOTH left-leaning and right-leaning papers/media sources to get a fuller picture and draw my own conclusions because that would be a less BIASED approach then automatically presuming it is false.
Of course I didn’t. I’m reviewing The Epoch Times, and not Reuters or the Associated Press. What that statement says is that Reuters and the Associated Press can be counted on to provide reasonably balanced coverage. You failed to copy this:
Analysis / Bias
In review, The Epoch Times covers straight news reporting through the use of journalists and syndication through the Associated Press and Reuters. Typically, these stories are well sourced and reasonably low biased.
Not to the same degree. The good ones do their best to uphold objective journalism standards. The Epoch Times does not even try.Every news paper/media outlet has a BIAS including the GREY LADY herself, the New York Times.
Actually I did not. I posted two links. I also found several more that come to more or less the same conclusion. You literally just used one source (one which was written by Gosh KNOWS WHO) and call it a day! I
Since you watched it, how about you give me an abstract instead so I can decide if it’s worth watching?I actually would look forward to what you would have to say.
