I dontt think you over did it at all in fact I think talking with boys,(sons) spending that real time with them is wonderful.My eldest son was the last to bed but after prayers together at his door we would just talk and talk…now in his twenties he is very open and loving,and switched into people’s moods and feelings.

Says a lot about them. They are either married to your sisters or you were dating their sibling. OK maybe they are your spouses sibling and it was before you were dating.

The one thing that really sticks out is “Say what you mean, and mean what you say.” Not strictly parenting advice as it came from our training officer when we were fostering, but applicable all the same.
