šŸ™‚ God speaks to me through the Church??? :yup: Itā€™s evident! You donā€™t know what is the Church. You think itā€™s just the Bishops. šŸ˜ƒ So you think I am something OUTSIDE the Church, and God will use the Church to talk to meā€¦

If you are not Catholic then

Thatā€™s what they told you.

And you talk about the RC Church, as if there are not other churches. šŸ˜ƒ Again: you donā€™t know what is the Church.

And you talk about me as if I am protestant, again proving that you donā€™t have any idea about what the Church is, and how the Church is one.

I told you: you need the basics.

If you are not Catholic then your are ā€œoutsideā€ The Church! You may very well be a member of ā€œaā€ church, but there is only one True Church and that be the Catholic Church. God does speak to us through the Church, why else to you think Jesus spent so much time establishing His Church before He left?

Do you really think that Jesus chose Apostles and called them His Church only so that His Church would cease to exist as soon as the Apostles died? If there is no difference between you, me and the bishops, why did Jesus pick the 12 Apostles when He clearly had thousands of disciples? Why were only the 12 gathered around Jesus at the Last Supper?

I know exactly what the Church is and what it isnā€™t. I have no idea what sort of non Catholic you are, Protestant or otherwise, but what is apparent is that you do protest against the Church exactly as the Protestant Reformers did. You make the same argument that there is no hierarchy but you cannot point to a time in Christianity when there was no hierarchy. You claim that the Bible is your only rule of faith but you cannot point to a single time before the Reformation where that was taught. You claim that God speaks directly to you and directs you in matters of Christian Doctrine but your interpretations differ from all the others that claim the same thing.

I appreciate your zeal for the faith and I do not doubt your sencerity, but you are mistaken if you do not believe that Christ established a Church to carry on His mission after he was to leave and that the authority given to the Apostles was passed on to their successors throughout the generations. We can prove this historically.

Tell me what Church you belong to, who founded it and when.

As for the Catholic Church, it is evident that it was founded by Jesus Christ, around the year 33A.D.

God Bless!

Do you think that those who preach against the sole authority of God come very close to worshipping those who, as they think, have the sole authority to interpret what God says to each one of us?

:hmmm:

The Catholic Church has never preached against the authority of God in any way. How can you sit there and make all these statements without any more understanding than you do? Just because we donā€™t fall on our knees and endorse your preaching? YOU are just a man with a mouthful of opinions and a Bible. What you teach doesnā€™t even agree with all the other Christian churches out there and I sure donā€™t wanna be as confused and angry as you are. I can stay out in ā€œthe worldā€ and do that.

Why would we believe what you teach as opposed to the writings of the guys who lived with the apostles and who were taught by them? All you are is another man with a Bible and thereā€™s no way to verify that you know what youā€™re talking about. In fact, (since youā€™re not Catholic and reject the authority of the early church that affirmed the canon of scripture in the 4th century and then reaffirmed it again all the way up to the present day) we have no way to know if that Bible that you use is complete and accurately translated. Iā€™m fairly sure that it lacks at least 7 books that were in all Bibles up til the 1500ā€™s, so that makes it kinda suspect to begin with.
Heyā€¦Preachers like you are about a dime a dozen and they all say different things. Who needs all that confusion? My Bible says that the devil is the source of confusion.

šŸ™‚ The dead can do nothing after they are dead. They cannot work or suffer for their Salvation, because no reward for them after death. RC pray to them, but they cannot know about what they are praying šŸ˜ƒ

But a day will come, when they will all rise and have a reward THEN.

šŸ™‚ But we canā€™t say that we must not remember the dead, and then say No we must remember them and even pray for them. :rotfl: Those ideas of humans make me laugh.

And blinds want to compare them to the Holy Word of God. :crying:

Not only do those in heaven pray with us, they also pray for us. In the book of Revelation, we read: ā€œ[An] angel came and stood at the altar [in heaven] with a golden censer; and he was given much incense to mingle with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar before the throne; and the smoke of the incense rose with the prayers of the saints from the hand of the angel before Godā€ (Rev. 8:3-4).

And those in heaven who offer to God our prayers arenā€™t just angels, but humans as well. John sees that ā€œthe twenty-four elders [the leaders of the people of God in heaven] fell down before the Lamb, each holding a harp, and with golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saintsā€ (Rev. 5:8). The simple fact is, as this passage shows: The saints in heaven offer to God the prayers of the saints on earth.

I guess you would find it silly that the early christians such as Paul sould pray for his friend that recently died. And of course you would laugh when the early christian martyrs would inscribe on walls to ask for the saints to pray for them. You mock Paul and the early christian martyrs whose signature in stone we still have nearly 2000 years later. Fundamentalism has no shame and is clearly unhistorical christianity.
