Since 2008 I have seen that conservative rhetoric presumes:
  1. Any new gun law is gun confiscation
  2. Democrats want to confiscate all guns
  3. Any type of gun should be legal to be carried anywhere
You know, it ain’t necessarily so.

You mean you have encountered different opinions across tens of millions of people? Shocking.

And all promoted by Trump supporters?

No, I have encountered NRA and conservative orthodoxy. If you disagree with any of their gun views, see what names they will call you!

RidgeSprinter . . .
All in on Biden taking guns away from the unstable.
If you really think that, start with disarming the police as they have the highest suicide rates.
ALL of them. No exceptions for politician’s and ex-presidents guards.

After you have disarmed all police give it a few years. Then come back here and let me know how it’s going.

There are already laws in place against “the unstable” having firearms. The only problem with such a nebulous definition as “the unstable” (which can mean just about anything a politician orba creative judge says it means), is it gets REDEFINED often.

To me, seems an utterly ridiculous pretension.

Are you comparing the Secret Service to the bullies who were at Michigan’s state capital?

Both the Secret Service and the bullies were armed, but the bullies hardly are contributing to the common good, nor do are they reflective of a well regulated militia.

Why not for once post something supportive of the President and his policies (if you can find any) rather than giving us more of the same ol’ “anyone who is not Trump is bad”.

OK, where can I order a surface to air missile? Those pesky jets from O’Hare are too noisy.
1)That is not considered a firearm by the SCOTUS.
2) the right to keep and bear arms provides no right to harm others outside of self defense.

As an NRA member who happens to disagree with their positions on a few issues, that hasn’t been my experience.
On the other hand, a pro-lifer isn’t welcome in the Democrat Party, if you oppose same gender maroon religious grounds, you’re considered a hater and unwelcome.

  1. Ask the NRA about explosives. It blocked indentifiers in TNT. Is that a firearm?
  2. Well, there is hunting, too. The NRA says its a right for citizens to be armed to oppose the government. The second amendment says nothing about self-defense. “Self-defense”’ in the second amendment in Heller and McDonald was sort of judicial activism, but conservatives won’t admit that.

Sir, I posted on a gun forum for years and “free loader” was the nicest thing said of me. The gun rights enthusiasts brook no alternative viewpoints.

Remember, Obama had a Republican and a pro-lifer (two different folks) in his administration so the Democrats seemed more open to those views. Now with Trump, he has an amalgamation of yes men and toadies who must support all of his views.
