I don’t think that we do.

Try out the Genius Bar. You can even make appointments there to have your computer looked at before the stores open. For routine repairs, you can wait a few moments or do some shopping while they work on it and get it back the same day. It’s a great experience!
You are a computer expert correct? Genius Bar is for technical support but this is not about technical support, it is about tearing a whole computer apart and soldering parts back together, a whole different world.

Remember the computers was somehow in liquid, whether that was a drink spill on them carelessly or they were dump into the water while boating, have no idea.

Software Engineer by career and education. I don’t ever use the term “expert.”

and soldering parts back together,
Make sure you have Apple Care. Then take it in to apple. They will just replace the boards instead of desoldering and resoldering.

It says repairs but not sure how in-depth the repair would be. These three computers were badly damaged.

Never used Genius Bar but just walking into an Apple Store in the Mall can be intimidating. I don’t know how that would work if you were Hunter Biden and often there are wait lines so there are factors.

At any rate, it appears that Hunter Biden chose a local reputable repair shop.

Go outside of store hours. There is hardly anyone there. That’s what I’ve done.

Ah, then you don’t know it was “tearing a whole computer apart.” Okay.
The same here.

Being doing it for 20 years.
We might be close to the same age. Got my first professional job before I was old enough to legally drink. And now the history of my career should be old enough to drink, or close to it.

No I was a late starter. Military Service first. Travel around the country working at Nuke Plants. Then went to School. Immediately got a job at age 38 after graduation. Makes me 58 now.

Ah, that makes you my respected Elder, Mr. RidgeSprinter.

Right after high school, I went to get a Computer Science degree. By this time I had already been studying programming for 4 years (I had no computer for 2 of those years, so programming started off as a purely on-paper exercise until I was able to make a deal with someone to write a program in exchange for keeping the computer they lent me). Second year of college, a classmate that was 10 years my elder got me an interview at her company, and I’ve been doing some form of Software development ever since. With the exception of one medical company I worked for, the places I’ve been primarily employed at have acted like consulting companies. I find myself doing work with/for their partners and customers, including some with names that are recognized and spoken of frequently in these forums.

A couple a years after my BS of CS I went back to school because I felt like I had too much free time. That’s when I got my MS of SWE. I thought about going back a third time for a math degree but ultimately decided not to. Not that I haven’t been using the math.

The thing that I expect is another damning hit on President Trump to come up soon. Politicians have things at their disposal to attack the credibility of the other.

My first job that lasted 8 years(The Housing Market Crash of 2008/2009 killed it), me and my boss were the IT department.
  1. Software Engineers
  2. Database Administrators
  3. Network Administrators ( got my CCNA )
  4. Hardware repair
  5. Material Procurement
  6. Etc…
After that, 90% Software Engineer 10% Database Admin as required.

Now I am in my last job and secure being “Lead Programmer”.

Twenty-six thousand emails from Gmail of Bevan Cooney.

So Joe Biden did meet with the Chinese in 2011.
The report pointed out that this group is the Chinese Entrepreneur Club (CEC) and a delegation consisting of Chinese billionaires, diehard CCP supporters, and at least one Beijing “respected diplomat”;the name of the Chinese Entrepreneur Club sounds like It is harmless, but it is called “China’s second Ministry of Foreign Affairs.”
In an email, an intermediary named Mohamed A. Khashoggi helped the Chinese Entrepreneur Club to connect Hunter and Archer to express his desire to visit the White House and meet with high-level officials. Hunter and Archer clearly fulfilled their expectations soon.

At the time, US government archives showed that this Chinese delegation of about 30 members did indeed visit the White House on November 14, 2011 and enjoyed a high-level reception; but the record hides the meeting with Vice President Biden, which may be the delegation’s The most important itinerary.

The US government visitor record did not mention this meeting at the time, but Cheng Hong, one of the core founders of the Chinese Entrepreneur Club, claimed in a document that she facilitated the club delegation to meet important people in Washington in 2011. She cited The first character is Biden

Or, take a step back.

Yes, Hunter is apparently a mess. But, he’s a lawyer. Do you think he would:
  1. Bring laptops with incriminating evidence to a repair shop
  2. Not go back and retrieve them
This strains credulity. I think this has a less than 20% chance of being real.
He is and or was also:
  • a drug addict and alcoholic
  • dating his brother’s widow
  • married a lady a week after meeting her
  • separated from the military under dishonorable circumstances1
What decisions has he made publicly that tell you he a good decision maker?

Spare me the incredulity at how buttoned up this man’s behavior is. Not retrieving a laptop full of evidence that incriminates he and his father in a series of financial kickbacks with foreign entities would be considered a low-key Thursday afternoon for this guy. All the rage over the years at the conspiracies that have disappeared about Trump, and the angst over his children have really been shown to be hollow and made up. Once something appears to incriminate the other side and their low-life kids, suddenly it is a big “meh.”

At least admit this sort of thing only bothers you if Trump is at the center, since that is obviously the case to everyone.
  1. for those who care, Commissioned officers cannot be reduced in rank by a court-martial, nor can they be given a bad conduct discharge or a dishonorable discharge. If an officer is convicted by a general court-martial, then that officer’s sentence can include a “dismissal”, a separation carrying the same consequences as a dishonorable discharge for an enlisted person and a reduction in rank to the last rank at which the officer served satisfactorily. A US Treasury decision states that even though an officer is dismissed rather than dishonorably discharged, the phrase “discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions” is broad enough to include a dismissal rendered for an officer by a general court-martial, and thus a dismissed officer is also prohibited from possessing firearms or ammunition under federal law, in the same manner as a dishonorably discharged enlisted person.
If a court-martial convicts an officer but imposes a sentence that does not include a dismissal, the secretary of the officer’s service branch may drop that officer from the roll (official list) of officers in that branch. Such a separation is characterized as administrative rather than punitive.

Well, you got me on that. Yeah, really a mess.

I don’t know. Thinking about it, probably Hunter is dealing on his dad’s name. I’m sure he’s not the first. It’s not illegal.

As to laptops themselves - when it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t true. As far as October surprises go, it’s significant. But, is it true? Is it a factor that the President’s lawyer is involved?

You raised good points, and I’m thinking about them.

The reason there are October surprises is due to dirty politics. Nothing new, many of us do not like it. This is global and trough history, that people in power do dirty tricks.

When things are uncovered, even if it was some random homeless drug addict. Does that make it less true. Sure it raises concerns, the evidence is what must be looked at. Even when politicians do this, does not make it less true. It just raises questions.

Rudy Giuliani is a lawyer, and a Trump lawyer at that. If he brings false information, this will be damning to his career to defend the president.

Uhm, I don’t think it will hurt his reputation. It’s already pretty low.

I mean in court. I should have been more clear. His reputation to the average Joe is subjective. But in court? He is a force to be recon with.

I think that maybe regional. Rudy Giuliani is still very respected in the New England area and I can’t see that disappearing. The events of 9/11 and the way he handled things gives him a permanent following, especially in NY but also in surrounding states.

He has made a number of blunders on TV and had gone silent for a while. I am guessing his own lawyer told him to shut up.

Uhm, because they’re investigating the whole things as a Russian disinformation operation, that’s why.
Let’s see. That would be a five year investigation without having a thing to show for it. Not credible.
You mean the discredited claim? You mean the one the international community viewed as corrupt and a threat to Ukraine moving forward?
Oh no. Biden admitted that he used American money to get the prosecutor fired. Everybody knows that. And Shokin has not been charged with anything. Not here and not in Ukraine.

Perhaps the creepiest thing about this whole laptop scandal is this. Hunter Biden deliberately left his laptop for a long period of time; time enough for it to be forfeited. On it, he accuses his father of using him to get money. Now maybe he was zonked on crack all the time and wrote things like that. But just maybe he intended it to be “discovered” without having to admit that he turned ol’ dad in. The laptop contents just might be the “Daddy Dearest” expose by Hunter Biden.
