This is nothing short of intolerable.

Criticisms of the bishops of the United States by those in the United States should be utterly and absolutely intolerable.
Does this imply that Criticisms of Priests is okay then? (As I believe he/she was trying to stand up for Father Pavone, and it’s a bit of a situation here, where you stand up for the Priest, and are accused of denouncing the Bishop, or you stand up for the Bishop, and are accused of denouncing the Priest).

I believe all our Priests and Bishops (Incl. Yourself) should be respected, by every Catholic, but I also don’t believe they are all immune from error either. St Paul corrected St Peter.

I believe Father Pavone was trying to do a good thing, but I believe it was the wrong way in this case for the reasons I mentioned above.

I hope this has helped

The Church is hierarchical. Period.

I am not the equal of a diocesan bishop. I have made a solemn promise of obedience to my bishop – to whom I submit in ALL things.

God forbid that I should in any way do anything to displease my diocesan bishop – but, if I had, of course the lay faithful should support His Excellency because of the stature that is his as Bishop of the diocese.

Okay.

St Paul I don’t believe was the equal of St Peter either.

I’m no theologian or anything, but when Priests and Bishops are silent when Ireland (Supposedly a majority Catholic Country) are going to vote on the redefinition of marriage (Same sex marriage) and some Priests and Bishops are, ambiguous with their counsel on the issue (Implying the yes vote), and even a rare few in active support for the ‘yes’ vote, I believe something is wrong.

When Our Holy Father Pope Francis, accepts ‘protest art’ which has Christ crucified to a ‘Hammer and Sickle’ instead of a Cross, and one cannot question that, something is wrong, as Pope Francis is the head of the Church, the successor of St Peter to guide and counsel the faithful, many of whom suffered greatly under Communism in which the Hammer and Sickle represent.

All I can do is pray for the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church, our Holy Father, Clergy and Laity, Like I said, I am no theologian, but I know it can’t be anathema to mention something about these issues. It must be allowed to be talked about.

I hope this has helped

From another thread that was raised a few moments ago -

catholicculture.org/news/headlines/index.cfm?storyid=29901
“Francis wants us to explore new paths,” said Cardinal Lehmann, a former president of the German bishops’ conference. He said that the German bishops should not wait before adopting new policies on issues such as Communion for Catholics who are divorced and remarried.
We all know this is wrong. Cardinal Lehmann’s authority over me (A layperson) doesn’t change that. Let alone a German priest under his authority. 😦
Matthew 5:31-32:
Concerning Divorce

31 “It was also said, ‘Whoever divorces his wife, let him give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I say to you that every one who divorces his wife, except on the ground of unchastity, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries a divorced woman commits adultery.
Divorce and remarriage has become an epidemic of mass proportions. This teaching is hard. I believe It is good if one wishes to reach out to the divorced and remarried, as we should, I don’t know how to proceed, but I do know that one cannot contradict the teachings of Christ that the One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church has always held true to.

What issue do you believe Kind Henry VIII broke away from the Catholic Church because of?

I hope this has helped
