I have little doubt that abortion would be banned in my state if the chance presents, or at least limit it greatly. Some of the nearby states would do it as well. Since, unfortunately, so many people identify “legal” with “moral”, it cannot help but have some effect on the abortion rate. Yes, some of the blue states would keep abortion on demand, but not all would. Even some limitations would be better than none at all.
Absolutely! There would be a real and immediate dent in the murder rate.

Except this time, the next president may have the opportunity to appoint three supreme court justices. You keep glossing over that one. We know what type of Justices Obama will appoint.
I am in sincere dread over Obama S.Ct. appointments. A nightmare worse than the Warren Court. The U.S. Constitution will become a ‘living document’ subject to change at whim by liberal Justices. So long First, Second and Tenth Amendments. The government will be further empowered by the Commerce Clause to regulate everything (worse than Bloomberg in New York City).

I already prayed about it and voted for him in good conscience last Thursday. Thanks though for judging whatever consequences you believe it has to my soul and salvation and the amount of blood on my hands. On that note I am leaving this thread. But I think I will allow God to judge any blood on my hands and Him to know my heart. God bless you as you walk in faith and His peace be with you always.
“prayed about it”

what a joke.

Whoa. I draw the line at that. I heartily disagree with CMatt25, and we have tangled many, many times over our differing views of God’s will when it comes to government’s role and poverty issues versus abortion. But, I never, ever, ever consider anyone’s prayerful discernment “a joke.” He may be wrong, but that doesn’t mean he isn’t praying about it.

God meets us where we are. You are obviously way ahead of all of us

Just read an article onLifesite News where aGeorge Soros funded group has issued a complaint againsts the USCOB,re their letters and speaking out on the five non negotiables of the Church. They are claiming that they are electioneering from the pulpit and should lose their tax exempt status. Also their speaking out is unfair to Obama. This is just the beginning.:mad:

These are Church teachings. As our shepards,it is incumbent upon the Bishops to inform Carholics so that they in turn, can make an informed vote.Faith first! they haven’t come out and actually instructed the faithful on who to vote for, only what to look for in a candidate.

It was partisan and the intent is clear.

Of course, that’s what the Emperor Napoleon would say. I’m surprised you can type though.

Let them eat cake, sir! With frosting. Or without. It doesn’t matter, does it? Not to you.

What is clear is a vote for Obama is a vote against everything our faith teaches!
And Romney isn’t? There are several things he and the Republicans have proposed and support which could be classified as intrinsically evil. Yet the Bishop is mum.

Intrinsically evil, did you say intrinsically evil? Are you sure? You’d better consult Josephine on that.
