What do you think Jesus meant when He said, “It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God” (Matthew 19:24. Similar verses are in Mark 10:25 and Luke 18:25).
You are aware that those verses do not simply mean that owning nice things is an evil that must be avoided right?

Those passages refer to not allowing the things we own to own us. By your definition, anyone doing anything above “just surviving” is unholy.

Diocesan Priests and Bishops do not take a vow of poverty (and religious priests elevated to the episcopacy are permitted ownership and enjoyment of personal belongings again). They receive a salary and they are permitted to spend it as they wish.

Why are all of you sitting here and judging judging judging away at the parish priest who drives the nice car or the bishop who buys (or more likely, leases) a new one every few years? That is his personal money to spend how he sees fit. The fact that he spends it on a car which he will use in service to the Diocese should be saying to you that it is no more wasteful than our rather opulent churches are.

All of this judging of others and saying that the priest or Bishop’s car is too nice and unnecessary and no one here has condemned churches built of marble and gold but the Bishop gets cursed because he wanted a comfortable car (which, incidentally, a Bishop generally spends much more time in his car than in the church building itself). Judge not lest ye be judged.
