Black Lives Matter says Biden-Harris have been silent on meeting request

Imagine my surprise.

BLM have, frankly, been the very definition of “useful pawns” in my opinion; but now that Biden no longer needs them to help his presidency, he’s tossing them like so much garbage. Their extremist views were never on his agenda.

Same with Antifa in Portland; their mayor constantly turned down Trump’s offers of the National Guard to help deal with the rioting, looting and destruction that Antifa has been causing, but has now been asking for the National Guard from Biden.

Same ol’ song-and-dance. Biden’s just Trump in blue.

If the group got press folks would claim there is a conspiracy. If the group does not get media coverage then it means the ‘liberal media’ is tired of it?

People are going to believe what suits their purposes.

Yup. BLM has outlived their usefulness to the Left. Biden’s got to make a token attempt an unifying the country now, so we’re going to see left-leaning media start to vilify BLM more, actually point out some of the stuff they get up to.

I suppose it’ll be alright to watch BLM crash and burn. Hopefully Antifa will be next.

You missed my point. The tone of the coverage is shifting to the negative.
I said nothing about the amount of coverage.

What actions or statements from Biden are instances of him using the “Black Lives Matter Global Network” (not to be confused with the movement).
 
More than ignore. Mayor Pete, who holds a reputation of not fixing potholes on South bend, has been nominated as transportation secretary, something black communities there opposed
Two Black community leaders from South Bend — Council member Henry Davis Jr. and local Black Lives Matter leader Jorden Giger — both of whom have criticized Buttigieg’s record throughout his presidential primary campaign, mobilized again this week in response to reports that he was under consideration.
“He did a really bad job for this community and my district in particular,” Davis Jr. said. “Bus lines have been shut down and cut off in one of the poorest census tracts in this country.”
“He has no history of working with Black owned businesses,” added Giger. “Hurting Black communities is not worth the price of doing a political favor for Pete Buttigieg because he endorsed [Biden’s] campaign in the primary.”

I think the dispositions of others are being attributed to Biden’s administration without him ever having displayed alignment with them. I don’t recall Biden ever showing himself aligned with them. I specifically remember him saying he would not defund the police. That is a position that is not aligned to some of the most vocal in some of the “sects” of those groups.

Why is it no one can accept either moderates or independent thinkers. He is who he is. He is not part of a socialist agenda, nor is he a Democrat version of the incumbent.

Oh, he pandered to the more extreme parts of their movement long enough to get their votes, namely on defunding the police; he’s flipped on that pretty well now.

Also, the movement as a whole is a poisoned well.

I didn’t say he was part of a socialist agenda; the fact that he’s snubbing self-confessed socialist movements now that he no longer needs their votes is evidence enough of that.

He’s absolutely a Democratic version of Trump. Everyone’s in it for themselves, politicians most of all.

Oh, Biden played right into BLM’s rhetoric. He accused Trump of using “dog whistles” and accused him of supporting “racist hatred” back in September. He said prettymuch everything that BLM would have wanted to hear in order to secure their votes.

If the choice is between progressives or rightists in power I’ll take the progressives.
