In 2019 - 9 unarmed African Americans were shot and killed by police - I do not have numbers for other types of deaths similar to the outrageous murder of George Floyd - even if that number is the same - 9 … that would be 18 people
For clarity, the racism being protested goes back further than 2019.

Yes - we know that …- there are racist people - they initiate stupid racist actions … and hurt people - even murder people

For clarity - there are racists in every race - it is not solely the purview of Caucasians …

For clarity every race has good and bad people, every race has a criminal element - I wish it were not so - sadly it is.

For clarity - that is the statistic from 2019 … it is a sad statistic … but then so are all murders, all brutality, all rapes …

And for clarity you can add drugs, gangs and thefts - perpetrated by police and / or civilians, crimes by native born [of every race] legal immigrants and illegal immigrants of every race - And these happen in far greater numbers and cause far more harm - especially to the African American community.

For clarity - one should not continually move the goal posts and should not change the topic repeatedly …

There are deserving cases, but the BLM movement more often than not picks the wrong ones as their protest theme.
I’m not normally a fan of PragerU stuff, but that video was an excellent summary of the Michael Brown case. I’ve read a ton about that case (probably more than any other one) and I’ve always been astonished that a case so factually unsupportive became the foundation of a movement and a made-up slogan (“Hands up, don’t shoot”).

He wasn’t moving the goalposts. The protests aren’t just related to events that just happened in 2019, even I know that much.

And we all know that - the statistics was specific to a post - regarding annual police cases where an unarmed African American died and the number of people who had died related to the protests/riots/looting … very specific … it is changing the topic, moving the goal posts whatever you want to call it …

We can also talk about the thousands of Black on Black crime that occur year in and year out - far more than are killed by police unarmed or armed … but that was not the specifics that were being discussed.

I think people object to the peer pressure to blindly give their support to “BLM” when the case being heralded isn’t deserving, is a farce.
BLM is led by Marxists. Marxists are anti Christian and wish to create division in society in order to bring it down.

Wait, let me see what they are up to now…
… yep same stuff.

No support from me.

“Black People Matter” This should be its own top post. I was going to suggest this an alternative, and was going to top-post, given the associations related to both the organization BLM and, now, the context and reception of ALM. I’m glad I looked so that it didn’t seem like this was an original thought of mine.

No, but if the cancer-research-in-general group were demonizing the lung cancer group with sloganeering like, “All cancers matter,” then, yes, I’d criticize the former. This analogy is more apt for what is going on.
To be fair, all the All Lives Matter crowd is doing is just chanting that in response to the BLM crowd.
What I’m seeing at least locally is the Blue Lives Matter crowd. They remind me of pro-choicers who, when you mention human rights abuses against the unborn, try to shut you up with, “But, but, but . . . the woman has a RIGHT to do that!”

Also, I don’t think the Blue Lives people are marching for any specific policy change. It’s mostly just right wing virtue signaling.
