Break up or marriage?

Sorry, I couldn’t get past the 13 years part.

I’m going to guess that you should have broken up at least 10 years ago.

I see this is a resurrected thread…and that you are trying to move on. I wish you the best of luck. Hang in there!

You have all of us here! We will talk to you day or night! You know that this is the right thing to do, so just think positive and pray when you feel weak.

Do not give in to your lonely feelings and go back to him. It is better to be alone than in the wrong relationship. My guess is that you have been with him so long that you have lost a part of your own identity. You have been trying to pleease him and cater to his feelings that you have lost touch with your own.

Start a journal of your life dreams and then work toward making them come true. Use your time to make plans for your future, whether that means going to school or seeking out somewhere to live back in Ireland. Listen to music that you know lifts you up and not that is sentimental or connected to him.

Look forward! Your new life begins soon! Embrace it and never look back!
 
I don’t know your country of origin (you mentioned you immigrated to Ireland) but your chances of finding a practicing Catholic husband in Ireland or say, Poland, will be much higher than Norway.

God bless you, stay strong and ask God to show you your true vocation, where you will find peace and joy. You are still young and can have a family and children - don’t waste anytime in a place or with a person where you cannot fulfill your true vocation.

hi 🙂 every day another little bit of peace is coming back to me. Thanks to God and all of you, for supporting me on this road. Packed my stuff to send them home, looking forward to going back to Ireland
