Don’t you HATE this! No it will not shut them down and if you Lefties are REALLY interested in “women’s health” you’ll not stand in the way of improving the clinics’ standards and protocols, as well as their staff. Gosnell was NOT able to admit patients to hospitals after he chopped them up. That’s why he (and other abortionists) tell the women NOT to go to the hospital but to contact them if there are complications.

The quality, sanitation and education/ability of the providers is obviously substandard or they would NOT be facing closure were they not to bring things up to the standards of my nail salon.

The DISHONESTY in reporting and in the MSM failing to get the facts is so disgusting. I am glad the Gov Perry and the other members of the Texas legislature demonstrate actual concern for the lives of their citizens (and future citizens)

God bless you, LIsa! I applaud you for calling out the phony compassion of the baby killing industry and those who give them cover. Rob 👍

I don’t think denial does the cause any good.
Every woman has the constitutional right to murder their child before reaching viability (20-24 wks).
Like it or not, moral or evil, it is now their right as a US citizen.
God’s Law trumps civil law though. Civil law cannot override God’s prohibition on murder via the 5th Commandment. Therefore, regardless of the Supreme Court ruling, no woman has the ‘right’ to kill her child.

‘Turn Texas blue’ hits headwinds with abortion
Democrats are gearing up to spend millions of dollars to “turn Texas blue” by bringing in a new generation of Latino voters.
I don’t put a lot of trust in polls but this is worrisome due to the fact that Latinos are leaving the Catholic Church in fairly large numbers. Although they are family oriented, they have nonetheless, been targeted for “re-education” by progressive groups. There used to be an organization called “Get the Immigrant Vote” which made them quite aware of the “need” for birth control and their rights to an abortion under the banner of reproductive “health.” The name of this group may have been changed to “Mobilize the Immigrant Vote” and it promotes all manner of Democrat policies including lobbying for SS marriage.

Catholic organizations and conservative groups need to counter such efforts by progressive groups. In terms of Latinos leaving the Catholic Church, the way to stop this is catechism.

Yes and dont’ forget Bread and Circuses. We have seen the Latino population in this area that USED to come here to work hard and assimilate turn into a handout seeking segregationist population that doesn’t learn English or even try to assimilate. When I would go to the DHS office to meet with my CASA kids the waiting room looked like Tijuana. It appeared about 99% Hispanic and they were all there signing up for food stamps and welfare. The Democrats know how to buy votes.

Texas Legislator Counters Wendy Davis During Hearing, Holds Up Baby Shoes
During the hearing in the state House yesterday on the 20-week abortion ban, Texas State Senator State Senator Bob Deuell, MD held up a pair of baby shoes to represent the unborn children who are aborted.
The shoes are a powerful visual symbol counteracting the running shoes that have been a pro-abortion symbol of the Wendy Davis filibuster against the late-term abortion ban.
Below is the picture of Duell holding up the shoes along with a collection of tweets with pictures and commentary on the hearing yesterday and the thousands of pro-life advocates who showed up in Austin to support the bill.

Quoted for freaking truth.

Those who want abortion rights are fighting a losing battle in Texas. I think the Democrats are underestimating the Latino impact on this issue. I think they also miss the fact that Texas is one place where the Republicans have a larger percentage of immigrant and Latino support.

Poll: More than half of Hispanics identify as conservative
After comparing surveys from California and Texas, Baselice also said Hispanics self-identify as moderate and conservative at significantly higher rates in Texas. In California, 37 percent of Hispanics call themselves conservative, 30 percent say they’re moderate and 33 percent embrace the liberal label.
In Texas, 46 percent of Hispanics say they are conservative, 36 percent are moderate and 18 percent say they are liberal, Baselice said.

Texas House approves abortion bill that sent 1st special session into chaos; Senate vote next

The Texas House has approved new abortion limits in a second special session, less than two weeks after Senate Republicans failed to finish work on the bill amid a filibuster and raucous protests.

A final vote could be held as early as Friday in the Senate, where the measure died as the first special session expired. The House voted mostly along party lines Wednesday on what has become signature GOP legislation.

Lawmakers spent more than 10 hours debating it Tuesday, and Republicans rejected every attempt to amend the bill. Throngs of protesters were missing for Wednesday’s mostly procedural vote after days of protests by supporters and opponents.

Planned Parenthood, big abortion and the battle to save lives in Texas

The debate over abortion has unmasked the extreme views of Planned Parenthood and the nation’s abortion lobby. It’s a debate that has implications for the entire nation.

Pretty terms like “women’s rights” can’t cover up the fact that the left is advocating that we allow babies five months and older to be aborted.

Texas House Votes For Pro-Life Bill

More than ten hours after gavelling in, the Texas House voted in favor of HB2, the state’s omnibus abortion bill. It’s the legislation’s second reading, and it needs one more procedural vote, which will come tomorrow, before it can be sent to the Senate. Senate sources tell me the upper chamber will probably vote on the legislation early next week. They anticipate that after some fireworks from pro-choice protesters, the legislation will pass and head to Governor Rick Perry’s desk.

House Democrats (and two Republicans, Representatives Sarah Davis and Susan King) offered a total of 26 amendments. The panoply of proposed changes included everything from eliminating language about ambulatory surgical centers to banning the death penalty. None of the amendments were added to the legislation, and the House passed HB2 almost completely along party lines.

The vote was 98-49, with one Republican voting against HB2 (Davis) and five Democrats in favor.

After the Gosnell trial just a few weeks ago, how ON EARTH can ANYONE argue against having the same medical standards for abortion clinics as you would any other medical facility??? In the guise of “protecting women”???

Shame!!!

God bless you, Texas!
