Where are you seeing this if you don’t mind? Casualty estimates are hard to get that quickly in this sort of attack.
 
I don’t want to be but it is indeed what I am afraid of. I really hope I am wrong though.
 
You won’t see damage reports or current response for some time.

I know Muslims will tell you when they say something they mean it. They said they want US blood. Trump has also made it clear what he will do if US lives are lost. Right now it looks they are still hitting the base. They need to stop but I don’t think they will tonight. 🙏

Some of those bases, “I thought” are actually largely shared bases with Iraqi troops often.
 
They are shared bases. There are several reports of no US casualties and that there are Iraqi casualties. Reports of a second attack have not been confirmed.
Don’t rely too much on any news tonight. It’s all fluid.
 
Military spokesman said 15 missiles were launched, 11 hit the air base, 4 failed.

War is not always inevitable. It is always a defeat for humanity. As the Charter of the United Nations Organization and international law itself remind us, war cannot be decided upon, even when it is a matter of ensuring the common good, except as the very last option and in accordance with very strict conditions, without ignoring the consequences for the civilian population both during and after the military operations.

If there are no US casualties, either Iranian targeting is bad, or they didn’t want any US casualties. Hopefully this is all that will happen. Pray for peace.
 
There has been talk of a “face saving” act…maybe, maybe not.

Maybe the two sides and everyone can have cooler heads and this thing can be worked out.

It’s just dumb, these countries, some are so against each other, Saudi Arabia vs. Iran, Turkey doesn’t like the Kurds, Israel and Palestine. People really need to reach for peace or at least, lower the hostilities.

India/Pakistan is another troubled area.

What we do know is that the killing of the general was not an action of last resort. There has been practically no effort at diplomacy, following Israel’s lead.

It’s Israel’s war, not ours. We are effectively mercenaries.

I’m delighted that this was not a catastrophe for us or for Iran.

We obviously, should not trust Iran but neither should we turn away any chance at trying to work this out.

I get nothing of this “delight in war” from Trump’s tweet. For America, things went relatively smoothly.

He killed 600 Americans, maimed hundreds, was actively planning to kill more. We took out one terrorist. What number of dead American’s constitutes an action of last resort for you?

To not know this and say its Israel’s war is pretty unreal. Absolutely, you want to talk about Israel and the Palestinians and so on, fine but to bring them into this.

Soleimaini’s alleged acts go on and on.

Syria, Iran, Iraq and so on.
