john, colleen, diem:

Thank you all for your prayers. You have no idea how they touch my heart and uplift my soul. My prayers go out to all of you, also. God bless you for thinking of me.

I did have the surgery and the biopsy results will be availabe in about 1 week. I am quite sore and nauseaus today. But, that’s o.k. At least I woke up from the anesthesia! . I was a little afraid I wouldn’t!
If you wake up, you are blessed. If you don’t, you are even more blessed (if all goes according to plans)!
I am grateful to those of you who have said that I have not overstayed my “welcome” on this thread.
There is no Christian bus to be thrown under! We are not tiring of praying for you, since we hope to be praying throughout eternity, with the Lord’s mercy.

Lifting you up in prayer today.

Christ’s peace.

po18:

I sincerely thank you for all your kind, thoughtful prayers! My prayers are going up for you, too! God bless you.🙂

Mom4Truth, please hand in there and don’t close this thread. I pray for you daily and admire you for your strength and courage. You have many friends here who love you and wish you the very best. God be with you!

Mom4Truth, I’ve been traveling for the last couple of weeks and couldn’t go online. I hope your surgery went well. God be with you!

Rocket:

Thank you for thinking of me and praying for me! I came out of the anesthesia (which I was worried about). I am waiting for biopsy results. I will see the Dr. on Monday. Your post today was really needed! I’m feeling awful - physically and emotionally. But, I’m hanging in there for my kids. Thank you again, and I pray for you too! God bless!🙂

Mom4Truth. I’m praying very hard for you…for a great spiritual uplift too. Waiting is so hard. My husband has pancreatic cancer and today I wass fired from my job so my pains are great too. I remember how hard it was to wait for results for my hubby…everyone saying oh it will be fine. I just turned to the CF and for prayer…Hang in there…The Holy Spirit will surround you and not let you down…ever.

onwillowbay:

You are suffering so, too. I’d like to carry some of your burden for you. I’m asking the Holy Spirit to allow me to do so. I know He will. You are a generous soul. You pray for me despite the sorrow you are enduring yourself. I cannot thank you enough in this life, but I will be able to in the next. God bless you, and I am praying EXCEPTIONALLY hard for you and your husband. God be with you!

Much love,

Hi :bounce: :bounce: :bounce: 👋 Hang in there OKA!!!

I’ve had a ****** week, but I after watching the Myanmar and China news, I also saw a report on the inhumane conditions the people in Haiti live in. It all smacked me silly, I got my nose out of “SELF” and realised that whatever I cannot change, I will let it go. Even if my family or friends will judge me for life, I will humbly take the hit. There are situations that will be out of my control and I can only hand them over to the Lord. Because in this country, reguardless of the situation, there is always the possibility of a positive change. We have the gift of hope, the means of looking for the help, the opportunity of looking for that help and the possibilities of finding it. But all these other poor human beings, live in countries that offer no possibilities, no hope of help comming, of a brigher day around the corner. We need to stick together in positive thought and prayer, and be in Thanksgiving to the Lord for all of our gifts and possibilities, so that we can feel joy of living again, and united in joy influence this injured planet, in a positive way.

Galilea:

Well you’ve smacked me over the head with a 2 X 4 haven’t you???😃 You’re absolutely right. When you put things in perspective: Myanmar, China, Haiti, etc., my problems seem like small grapes. (is that how the saying goes?) Anyway, I ought to be grateful for what I DO have! Bad, bad mom4truth! I’ve got to get my act together - ASAP!! Thanks for the reminder! God bless you. Still praying for you, too!!

Much love,

Dear Mom4Truth,

Don`t hit yourself with that 2 X 4 just yet okay!! I have known you awhile now and you strike me as someone already grateful for their blessings. Of course those in Burma, China, and many other places need our prayers and generosity. At the same time, it does not mean your struggles and burdens are not also challenging. Please do not be so hard on yourself!

It is great to remember all that we have but important to understand our struggles as well. I saw this on Oprah once, but I keep a journal and when I am down, list five things I am grateful for, before moving on to write about my woes! I try to remember to do this when I pray as well. I am usually praying to ask God for stuff, but am trying to remember to thank Him for all of my blessings as well.

Our time here on earth sure can be a struggle–that is for sure! But please know you are always in my prayers. I will PM you later today!

Have a good night.

Hugs,

Maria1212

I am always keepingyou in my prayers. My own latest experience is a diagnosis for my husband of pancreatic cancer and yesterday i was fired for “not fitting in”…Our burdens are so heavy. This is a tough world to live in and I always think I have it the “worst”. Yet, the other day I was in the grocery store and there was aman in a wheelchair outside with a little bucket. He had no arms and no legs…I was so overcome by this and dropped a (much needed) $5 in his little tin can…I asked god to bless him.
Everyday is a miracle…keep your chin up andknow we love you and pray with and for you.

Oh, how I hurt for you! I have read about your husband and your job on another thread. I have said that I will pray for you and your family. You have it very tough right now. I am so sorry. Life definitely throws us many curve balls, doesn’t it? I’d like to throw the darn things back in the outfield!!! I am hanging in there (though it’s extremely difficult as you well know). As for the poor man you saw and gave $5, that puts things in perspective for me. I know others have it far worse than I. I just need to stop and THINK about it for a minute (maybe a whole longer than a minute!). Thank you for all your prayers. Please know that I am praying for your husband, for you, your children, and all your needs. I will mention you and your family at Mass tomorrow (in private of course). I will also offer my physical problems (which are many) for you and your husband. Please keep in touch. I know you and your family will be well! God bless you and…

Much love,

From today’s Liturgy of the Hours:

Prayers and Intercessions

Christ has taken pity on his hungry people and has worked wonders of love for them. In gratitude and devotion we pray to him:
  • Lord, show us your love.
Lord, we acknowledge that all the good things that came to us today came to us from your kindness.
May that kindness not be wasted on us: may it bear fruit in our hearts.
Light and salvation of all peoples, watch over those whom you have sent all over the world to bear witness to you:
kindle the fire of your Spirit within them.
Make everyone work together to make the world a more perfect place:
guide them to respond to the most urgent needs of our time.
Doctor and healer of both body and soul, soothe the sick and be close to the dying:
in your compassion come to us also, and restore our strength.
Deign to add those who have died to the number of your saints,
whose names are written in the book of life.

Our Father, who art in Heaven,
hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread,
and forgive us our trespasses
as we forgive those that trespass against us,
and lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.

O God and Father, by sending the Word of truth and the Spirit of holiness into the world you revealed to mankind the great mystery of your being.
Grant that we may profess the true faith,
acknowledge the eternal glory of the Trinity,
and worship your Unity of majestic power.

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,
who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God for ever and ever.
Amen.

I SO enjoy your Liturgy of the Hours! I needed to read that today! Thank you and God bless you. You are in my prayers.

Dear Mom4Truth, still praying for you. I hope your results are promising. God please help you recover; and I praise God that you are still faithfully thinking of and praying for others. May God flood you with love and grace. Trishie

Thank you, Trishie, for your continued prayers for me! They are much needed. I pray for your intentions, also! God bless and,

Much love,

I have offered my previously discussed burden up for your healing and purification. I know from the timing and nature of it that it was given to me for that purpose. Praying for you this evening.

Christ’s peace.

Mom…I pray for you every night…You are one of the first here in the CF that I met through prayer…Your words and your outreach to others is so admirable…God WILL lighten your load, even moment by moment. God bless you.
