Happy birthday dear Brother. God bless you always.Thank you for the birthday greetings. We’re having a get together this evening to celebrate my birthday. I’ll see if I can get some pictures and post them. We always have a lot of fun when we get together. Franciscans love any excuse for a party.
I have to share this story. It’s awesome.
Awoke with blood pressure through the roof, glucose right behind it, which then sends my mood to the basement. I fell asleep. Suddenly, my dog is barking, practically in my face. I try to open my eyes and the room is spinning.
“This is not good,” I said to myself. My glucose must be high. Tested it, it was hovering beyond the roof. I guess the dog must have sensed that I was sinking deeper and deeper and she decided to awaken me. I took my insulin and everything is OK now. I love my little nurse.
I will never understand how anyone cannot believe in God. Just look at the wonders of the world. Stop and think about it. How do dogs and cats know or understand when a family member is in trouble, if there is no visible struggle? I can understand if you’re fighting off a villain and the dog comes to your defense; but a dog coming to your rescue when you appear to be at rest, but are really about to go into a crisis . . . ?
I understand the whole concept of pheromones. I went to med school. But it still does not explain how a dog or a cat connects the dots that such a scent means that it’s family member may be in trouble. The only explanation that I can offer is that God built something into them that is a mystery to us After all, we’re not talking about trained service dogs here. Tasha took a year to learn to go outside. I can’t imagine her learning medical science on her own.

I will remember you in a very special way at Holy Mass tomorrow.
Hello brother,Hello everyone. Just passing through to let all of you know that I’m thinking of you, especially during these special days when we celebrate the Stigmata of Our Holy Father Francis, the end of the third lent of the year, and the upcoming solemnity of St. Francis of Assisi.
It’s been a rough week, but I’m very happy. I must admit that I can’t be happier. Please read my blog entry below for more information on why I’m so happy.
Pray for me, a sinner.
