LOL, thanks, I needed that.A priest, a nun, and a rabbi walk into a bar. The bartender looks at them and says :“Is this some kind of a joke?”
God bless you.

Perhaps you can work with a local organization and arrange for a Burger King franchise to do something similar? What bothers me is that there are no special flags flown or special Whoppers made for other marginalized people (the poor, the deaf, the autistic).
They wouldn’t be interested. We know that mainstream media and political pundits and corporations have jumped on the rainbow agenda because it really isn’t just for the 2%; it is for an agenda which affects all. No one would be interested in flying flags for these other minorities. There is no corporate agenda behind it.Perhaps you can work with a local organization and arrange for a Burger King franchise to do something similar?
Perhaps it is different in the US, but in Australia a lot of minorities, especially those associated with disease or disabilities have marketing campaigns that focus on them. They wouldn’t be interested. There is a big difference between a business or corporation participating in a marketing campaign for some cause, and businesses participating in the leftist social agenda which seeks to marginalize or destroy traditional institutions such as marriage and the Church.Perhaps it is different in the US, but in Australia a lot of minorities, especially those associated with disease or disabilities have marketing campaigns that focus on them.
Whether it is by a charity endorsing a product because they get something from every sale or through their own campaigns where they solicit donations, or sell overpriced items liked $5 pens for the cause.
I find it hard to believe that doesn’t happen in other western countries.
Because the slogan “we’re all the same inside” and raising money for gay and lesbian kids to be able to afford college is a “leftist social agenda” seeking to “marginalize or destroy traditional institutions such as marriage and the Church.”There is a big difference between a business or corporation participating in a marketing campaign for some cause, and businesses participating in the leftist social agenda which seeks to marginalize or destroy traditional institutions such as marriage and the Church.
Coming soon to a corporation near you:

No. There isn’t. BK isn’t even Catholic for crying out loud. There is a big difference between a business or corporation participating in a marketing campaign for some cause, and businesses participating in the leftist social agenda which seeks to marginalize or destroy traditional institutions such as marriage and the Church.
That’s funny. In my country, I’ve seen McDonald’s representing its own charity. They wouldn’t be interested. My favorite, In N Out burger. They are indeed! :yup:
Have one for me, too, mexolic; it’s been 8 months since my last one![]()
Jesus loves me, this I know - for the internet tells me so.My favorite, In 'n Out burger.
Too bad I can’t find it in my neck of the woods.
Why?Honestly, unless you run one yourself, people shouldn’t be quick to judge corporations for jumping on bandwagons.
Another thing to keep in mind,This commitment gets pretty darn theoretical in some cases.
A hint for the slow of learning:
(1) Gays and lesbians are everywhere. You can never assume one isn’t in front of you.
Thus
(2) Speaking the truth about homosexuality must ALWAYS be done with consideration of the feelings of gay people.
(3) Speaking the truth plainly isn’t always speaking the truth lovingly. If it was, the qualifier “in love” would be redundant.
(4) When in doubt, be quiet. Saying a clever and incisive thing often only makes our egos grow, and those around us hurt. Evangelism is best done in the context of close friendships.
(5) There are times when the truth must be spoken courageously and well. These are times when we pray that the Holy Spirit guide us to speak lovingly and compassionately, even as we are as accurate as we can be. See Archbishop Cordileone’s recent speech for pointers on this.
“They” want it “Their” way and they don’t care what they have to do to get it! They have to force “Their” way on our whole society till we all learn to love them for it. I don’t recall adulterers ever doing all that, Or thieves, or cheats or liars. We may all have similar internals but we far from being the same morally. Do you ever stop to think just what they do!!!Is it not true that the “Gay Pride” movement calls Christians hateful bigots for not agreeing with homosexual behavior? All of the law suits by gay activists against Christians and protests at the Vatican had me assuming that they don’t like us.
I’m not saying that American corporations don’t represent other minorities or charities. I’m saying that the manner in which they do so with the Rainbow agenda is more vast, more slick, more media-hyped. And we know why. That’s funny. In my country, I’ve seen McDonald’s representing its own charity.

Of course in the U.S. there are corporate sponsorships of other minority campaigns. But it is not done in so commercial and open a way. Do you have huge Pride parades for the disabled? Special flags for them flown over government buildings?Perhaps it is different in the US, but in Australia a lot of minorities, especially those associated with disease or disabilities have marketing campaigns that focus on them.

We don’t fly flags for the LGBT community over our government buildings so that we don’t do it for other minorities in rather irrelevant. Nor have I ever seen a marketing campaign that relates in any way to the LGBT community, except where it is by a business that caters specifically to said community.Of course in the U.S. there are corporate sponsorships of other minority campaigns. So you believe this is compatible with Catholic teaching? We don’t fly flags for the LGBT community over our government buildings so that we don’t do it for other minorities in rather irrelevant. Nor have I ever seen a marketing campaign that relates in any way to the LGBT community, except where it is by a business that caters specifically to said community.
What I do see is marketing campaigns for other minorities which are very much commercialized - they wouldn’t be effective if they weren’t. Nor have I ever seen a marketing campaign that relates in any way to the LGBT community, except where it is by a business that caters specifically to said community. Admittedly, many of the rights the LGBT community are still fighting for in the US have already been granted here. We’re only waiting on gay marriage, so a marketing campaign isn’t really necessary.
(Although I am embarrassed to admit my state government has recently restricted access to IVF for homosexuals. Perhaps we do need a marketing campaign for LGBT rights after all).
SMGS, you can’t see the forest because the trees are in the way. What you see as a harmless “gays are the same as everyone inside” campaign is just another example of a subtle, incremental effort to further breakdown any resistance to the gay agenda whose goals are to destroy traditional institutions. It is the proverbial frog in the kettle. Perhaps you could understand it this way - could the show Modern Family have happened in the 70’s or 80’s? No - it would have been too controversial. In the 70’s you had Jack Tripper pretending to be gay in order to co-habitate. Now we have “Modern Family.”Because the slogan “we’re all the same inside” and raising money for gay and lesbian kids to be able to afford college is a “leftist social agenda” seeking to “marginalize or destroy traditional institutions such as marriage and the Church.”
Or, you know, it could be what it is in reality, which is actually a marketing campaign completely, 100% in line with Church teaching. I will find it interesting how you explain how a marketing campaign consistent with Church teaching is destroying the Church, Ishii.
Exactly, and I am growing impatient with those who refuse to see it as such. It is irresponsible. And it is not only aimed at destroying the Church, but family and the social order as well. These campaigns are part of a larger agenda, SMGS. It is an agenda that is masquerading as “tolerance” but is ultimately aimed at destroying the Church.
Open your eyes.
