As I mentioned, the Romans were quite fed up with their Pope because of this episode (and others) and they imprisoned Stephen and then strangled him.
This is understood. I then asked the question what happened to those who committed this act. Then I’m accused of specious remarks, etc.

Thread’s going around in circles as many Catholics here are unwilling to answer me.

Make a clear question - what ARE you asking and proposing?

Why should I state the reasons why I’m asking a question?

There’s no onus to do so. If you want to avoid answering my questions, that’s fine, but going off on a tangent to see why I’m asking, that’s not necessary.

Or more clearly, what are you asking?

In the back of my mind the MO (if not just to chip away at the Holy See in any fashion) seems to be to demonstrate that the finding of difficult things such as this can lead to doubt or demonstrate Roman claims to be of little value because, arguably, one can point to some odd or dark episodes such as this.

To find out.
To find out what exactly?

It’s been talked about over and over on this thread, what part are you missing?

You want to know what happened to the people who did this? Who knows?

And more importantly, after over a millenium, who cares?

I’m sure if they were malicious and evil God will have taken care of them when they died.

It’s wierd. It’s strange. Stephen did a wierd strange thing, and the people put their foot down with Stephen’s wierd strange things. Catholics here aren’t denying it. It happened, so what?

What more are you looking for?
