Hi PeterK, welcome to the forums

It really gave me time to think about trusting my brother, too!
Esauās prosperity is not a sign of future prosperity, nor prosperity in the afterlife. What is a few years of prosperity if the rest of eternity is lost?
I do not know Esauās ultimate end, but I can say that he was left to his own devices for God does not bother to punish him as he does his favored son, Israel, who not only wrestles ā but is wounded.

sure. I donāt doubt that, but do you mean that there is something ā of God who is love ā that this God doesnāt love? eg. the Devil?Yes. That is part of what I am saying. If you read the narrative really closely, you see that God LOVES Cain and is merciful to him. He could have turned him into a pillar of salt or something.
Thanks, the surgery went well. Only small pains now.God bless you and rest you.

Yes, and look how he got it. By threats of violence, and a long lingering fear in his brother. But even beyond that, the entire book of Job is dedicated to the theme: Why do the wicked prosper, and the Just suffer? (Does God hate Job?)Did he really leave Esau to his own devices? Look at what Esau ended up having.
