Do you believe the church leaders should be held accountable for covering up the molestation of children?
Maybe that is true. I can’t prove that there are no political interests behind these investigations. But if I got swindled decades ago, wouldn’t I want this to be rectified? If you have a boy abused by a priest, wouldn’t you still want justice done?Which is mostly for political reasons, as the previous poster said. Federal investigations for the most part are a feel-good gesture, especially when they happen decades after the fact.
Satan must be very happy to read your post. You know what scares him most? That you will change your mind and be the one to lock him up.Satan had NOTHING to do with this.
I don’t know all the details and the exact reasons why the Fed is opening its own investigations. But the $25 Million sent by the US Cardinals to the Vatican may also have something to do with it. Time will tell. The Feds seem to come in when state law is unable to bring charges or prosecute for some reason. Here it would seem to be a combination of statutes of limitations, deaths of perpetrators, and in some cases lack of evidence. In some situations like possible police misconduct that’s race-based, there are federal laws likely to apply.
He is part of the reason. Sin is mainly the act of the sinner. But Satan is the tempter. So satan is the reason for ALL the crimes in the world?
Some church leaders might be guilty of covering up crimes. But I will leave it to the state and federal judges to make that judgment. What I heard is that some bishops did not really mean to cover up the crime, but merely wanted to give an abusive priest a chance to reform himself. So, the bishop transfers the abusive priest to another parish or another diocese. But the sad thing is, instead of the abusive priest amending his life, he becomes a serial predator instead. So the poor bishop, in spite of his good intentions, become involved in this mess. However, I believe that there are also some who were guilty of covering up crimes and who are very aggressive at promoting the LGBTQ agenda. But that is just my opinion or my impression. Again, it is the state and federal judges who should make that judgment, not us.What I can say with 100% of factually knowledge is the church leaders covered up crimes.
I didn’t say that. I said let the state and federal judges make the judgment, since they are the ones hearing all the facts. So these men dont deserved to be lock away?
