Someone who has committed remorseless and brutal murder is capable of doing so again.

Subjecting others to this person is immoral.

Can you predict the future? We should punish somebody because they MIGHT do it again? I don’t care what the stats say, Jesus Christ told me to forgive!!! I think I’m gonna side with Him, sorry. And I’m not saying to let murderers run the streets, I’m saying that there are other ways to keep them from society other than killing them. And anybody who disagrees, I suggest studying the Catholic faith a little more in depth, maybe speak to a priest. Thank you.

There’s a difference between actively supporting and advancing the agenda of life or death and just being born American. Furthermore more - one of the greatest parts of being American is the right participate in changing policy by voting. We used to support slavery - we don’t anymore. We woke up and realized it was wrong. Would you use the same argument 50 years ago - remember truth is not relative.

I think that would be great advise for everyone, no matter which side of this argument you are on. As strongly as you feel that you are completely right I feel that I am right in thinking that there are times when the death penalty should be used. the difference is I am not going to say that I am completely right as I do not know the mind of God. I know from study of scripture that there are times when God was said the death penalty is right and has given guide lines for its use. I do not think that if a person is likely to kill again or not is part of that equation. Also I do not think that the repentance of the murder figures in either.

Jesus was an innocent man and was executed

the two thieves with him were guilty one was repentant one not they were both executed.

God choose to bring salvation to man through the execution of his Son. He could have choose another way. So to say that God ( and remember that is both Father and Son) is complete against it would be ignoring large portions of the faith.

However there are times and people that have forfeited there right to life as well as those whose choose to sacrifice theirs. I would hate to have to make a decision on a murder case and pray that I never have to I also pray that the need for such will go away.

Well, I suppose that I can keep rebuttaling this, but I won’t. As long as we can agree that in the perfect world, unnatural death wouldn’t occur, I can be happy with that. God Bless bro.
