The belief that one’s racial or ethnic group is somehow inherently physically and/or cognitively superior to another group.
Excellent.

Can you please explain to me what you call grants and things given to people based solely on their race or ethnicity rather then any economic circumstance?

Can you please explain to me those who vote for someone solely because they are a woman? or solely because they are black? who campaign on these features? or condemn someone solely because of the lack of these features?

Thank you for reading.

From the CCC paragraph 1936:
On coming into the world, man is not equipped with everything he needs for developing his bodily and spiritual life. He needs others. Differences appear tied to age, physical abilities, intellectual or moral aptitudes, the benefits derived from social commerce, and the distribution of wealth. The “talents” are not distributed equally.

Would either of these actions denote the voter or granter of money believed in the superiority of that group?

And yes, I know what you’re trying to do, which is to try to evade the question,n since your views on race are on record.

I see, so it’s your belief that the Catholic Church, the Church founded by Peter on the instructions of Jesus Christ, the Church that is supposed to be humanity’s avenue to salvation, believes that some races are inferior. Is this your view?

This is an issue of science, not faith or morals, the Church does not have a position on it.

If one treats someone differently based on something as superficial as the color of their skin, then that is the very definition of racism.

Not at all. If one was not racist, then it would not matter whether Obama was the first black president or not, neither would it matter if Clinton were the first female president or not, the very fact that they campaigned on these things, meant they campaigned on racism. It meant that people voted for these candidates based on racism and sexism.

For someone who is not racist, skin color plays no part in ones decision making, the very fact that these things played a part in ones decision making good/bad proves their racism.

If someone said Obama would be good for the USA because he is black, then they are racist, and likewise if someone said Obama would be bad for the USA because he is black, then they are racist, both racists are as bad as one another.
since your views on race are on record.
lol really? which post(s) are you talking about?

The biggest problem I believe, are racist and sexist statistics, which I think fuels it all. Just like Clinton had statistics on Blacks, Whites, Hispanics, Catholics, Women, Men etc etc and she played on every kind of ‘ism’ to try and win the election.

Then when they say something stupid like ‘majority white men voted Trump’ it implies a racist conclusion, just like if they say ‘majority of black men voted Obama’ it also implies a racist conclusion. And they simply keep fueling racism. If they were not racist, then such statistics on something as superficial as the color of someone’s skin would have no business in being a part of their statistics.

If they ask who you voted for, and then ask your skin color, people need to call them out as racists. What does my skin color have to do with who I did or did not vote for? same with their sex etc etc.

Clinton and her party being incredible racist as they were, had quotas to fill positions based solely on whether they were Black, White, Hispanic, Catholic, Protestant, Male, Female etc. That’s racism, sexism and whatever other kind of ism’s those others fit. Because if you didn’t fit the skin color to fill their quota, you would not get the job no matter how qualified you were.

Giving historically disadvantaged group a leg up is now racist and sexist? So you’re of the view that the Civil Rights Acts were racist acts because they gave protections to African Americans and finally killed the Jim Crow Laws?

Absolutely it is, do you think Obama’s daughters need a ‘leg up’? but they will get it because the sole criteria for some of this stuff is racist. Am I responsible for the African American Slave Trade? I was born in 1992 and have never been racist in my life, what is this debt I have incurred and how much do I owe until it is paid off?
So you’re of the view that the Civil Rights Acts were racist acts because they gave protections to African Americans and finally killed the Jim Crow Laws?
‘Protections’? you just said a ‘leg up’? There is a big difference between equal rights and protections and signaling out one class of people based on race to give a ‘leg up’ to. Are we going to give only white people a ‘leg up’ or would that be racist? If the criteria of giving someone a ‘leg up’ is based on race, then that is the very definition of racism.

So you sent that African Americans have spent most of their history in the US disadvantaged, Obama’s daughters not withstanding?

And immigrants who have come from another Country also start out ‘disadvantaged’ white people who had poor parents also start out ‘disadvantaged’ there are a whole range of people you could call ‘disadvantaged’ Obama and his daughters for one are certainly not disadvantaged.

A ‘leg up’ should be based on economic circumstances, that way anyone who is disadvantaged in some way will be eligible, not just those who happen to have a certain skin color which is the very definition of racism.

one of the biggest nationalist i know is canadian, his canada first walks into the room before he does. is that wrong? he is as liberal as they come!

Von,

If you want the Republicans to overthrow Roe v. Wade, then you must give them SOLID majorities … sufficient to appoint new Supreme Court Justices.

The only way to overcome being “disadvantaged” is to obtain as much education as possible.

Education is the key to success.

Read, read, read.

Study, study, study.

Especially math.

Depending on how it is defined, it is likely incompatible with the Golden Rule. It is usually driven by pride.

The pride that underlies nationalism is not this harmless sort. The nationalist thinks America is “the best,” that Americans are “the best,” that American politics and culture are of universal applicability. His fundamental attitude is not one of gratitude and satisfaction but of expansion and even imposition. There is no room for foreigners to be equally nationalistic because their countries and their people are not “the best.” They are inferior in history or constitution or military power or table manners.
St. John Paul also made this distinction:
Love of our motherland unites us and must unite us above all the differences. It has nothing in common with narrow nationalism or chauvinism.
Can one be a Catholic and a nationalist? Sure, just like one can be a Catholic and pro-abortion, or Catholic and pro gay marriage, or a Catholic Mason. Dissent is always possible. It is why conversion of heart is the job of a life time. I know I would hate to be judged by some of the foolishness of my own youth.

I don’t follow, is this a typo? You might be describing patriotism and not nationalism, but I can’t tell.

I thought of an analogy. A person my root for a college team that he has ties to, where the clothes and colors of his school, etc. However, he does not think his school or team has to be the best, or deserves to be the best. The question for Americans, is whether America is a great country, or must be the best country. Desiring that America must be number one is incompatible with the Golden Rule which would mean we must also believe that Great Britain, France, Mexico, and even (God forbid) Canada 😁 must also be number one in the world. That is why nationalism will always lead to conquest in some form.
