“Can you show where the Church has said…”
Most of the time, this question is unanswered or the answer is just another question asking the reverse. The answer to the thread question can be found in this problem. If the Church has not spoken, then the answer is “yes”, a Catholic can vote for a Democrat. The only question that remains is should a Catholic vote for Democrat. There are simply too many variables to answer this question in every situation for every election and for every voter. We should mimic our shepherds and only emphasize the principles for forming a faithful conscience.
