Can disbelivers ever find peace in life? in my opinion YES!!! I have many friends that are disbelivers and they have peace.

**Hi Bon,šŸ‘‹

Do They? Are You Sure?**
just because someone doesn’t believe in a religion doesn’t mean that they are lonely!

Peace and lonelyness aren’t the same Bon.

how awful and narrow minded i think some of you are and in my opinion not very Cartholic like. I’m catholic, and I would consider myself a very open minded Catholic young lady, i’m 17 years old and I believe that everybody has there own journey, and that everyone finds peace and love in different ways.

I am 64 years old and being open minded is how Satan gets into the mind of people. First saying "this is ok, later saying well you didd that so this is ok, until you have lost your way. I was told when I was very young "A smart person learns from his mistakes, a wise person learns from others! " True peace comes from being a good person, loving God and following His commandments and worshiping Him.

disbelivers in fact do believe in something in that life should be by her or his own choice on how they live. just because there beliefs are different does not mean that they are lonely and unpeaceful but in fact just as peaceful as anyone else.

Ignorance is bliss has been proven many times. But is that really peace?

Peace is everlasting happiness, and love for yourselves and all souls, you don’t need a religion to have peace just love.

Everlasting happiness is being in Heaven not Hell, you need religion to get everlasting happiness or as you definded it Peace!

**God Bless you, Guard your soul my dear, it is precious and deserves to be kept pure and free from corruption. **

I…believers have a refuge in God, whereas non-believers must take their refuge in nature or other people…

…I do believe the truth comes out in those last moments…
A friend of mine works with dying people only. He told me often, that people who believe in God accept death as door to God - nonbelievers fear what’s is behind and often die in fear and unsureness, even when they all their life had been happy mockingbirds.

Fact is, that this unsureness is below the surface during all of their life, because every human originates in God, and so his soul does have a knowledge of the being of God.

Yes, they do have their kind of ā€œpeaceā€ as long as they wipe away all thoughts of ā€œwhat’s behindā€ and live loudly and with little they have to spare. A young 17years old lady doesn’t have enough experience of life to tell. Let her be my age (near 70) if she ever gets as old, and then let’s hear her about this matter 😃

Believers do not know the ā€œangstā€ of what’s behind all this talk or being, plus; believers never are alone.

There is but one real peace - that of Jesus Christ.
How should a nonbelievers own that?

What or whom has he got, when he’s alone?
Whereas a believer never is allone!

The majority of the time, people, particularly believers, end up in conversations with ā€œpeopleā€. These people often tend to be either relatives, or, that ā€œlady in the corner of the roomā€. These visits often prepare the individual for what is to come. I think it helps them accept their fate, and gives them consolation, something to look forward to. I have not noticed this so much with those in denial, or, who have no belief in an afterworld.

Sometimes this is chalked up to dementia, but even people without dementia have experiences like that.

There is a school of thought, among Catholics in particular, and Christians in general, that we receive some sort of visitation during the final moments, where the truth becomes obvious, and they are allowed to make a choice. This is also a moment of great fear and temptation, wherein, the person must throw themselves on the mercy and trust of God while the devil tempts them to despair. I believe this with my whole heart.

I had one woman, just recently, who was very positive and seemed to be going peacefully, (but had abandoned her faith, long story). In any case, a few hours before she died, she became very restless, sat upright in the bed out of her coma and cried ā€œHelp me!ā€. Needless to say, her granddaughter was haunted by this, and, unfortunately I was not there, because I would have told her to call the name of Jesus, which is what I do when I see that. (I don’t care what the family thinks at that point).

I also try very hard to say at least one Divine Mercy chaplet during their final moments, begging for this opportunity to choose
the right thing.

thank you for this not only very lively, but also very good and seizable report of how life really is, if people lack faith. Life within those people, who abandoned or never had faith in God. Thanks again!
It showes very drastically, how true it is, that people even than, when they think they do have their inner peace, in reality never do have peace without God

The thought has crossed my mind, too, Bruno.

I think it is better to believe and be wrong, than not believe and…

Beautiful! and so true. When I came back to God, I suddenly realized I didn’t have to go through life alone any more. Even though I have friends and family in my life, I always felt I had to walk that lonesome valley of life alone It is such a relief to know God is always near, now and at the hour of my death.

Hi there thank you for your reply about my comment. you said to me:

Peace and lonelyness aren’t the same Bon.

I know that peace and lonliness arn’t the same thing. I never said they were. when I said " just because someone doesn’t believe in a religion does not mean that they are lonely" I was refering to those who have said in a few posts that those who don’t believe are lonely. I am then just saying that I don’t agree with that , but I was not implying that peace and lonliness are the same thing.

God bless your soul to

Worldly people are always heavily weighed down with the guilt of conscience. There’s just no way they can find true inner peace without Jesus Christ because that spiritual void created by God can be filled with nothing less than God Himself.
I remember when I had gone to confession for the first time since I was a kid. I couldn’t believe the difference in my interior life. I felt this PROFOUND interior peace and tranquility I’d never known before. It’s was like a thousand pound weight had been lifted off my back. In my life before confession, I’d been suffering immensely from guilt but didn’t know any better because I had no better experience to compare it to. I was indeed suffering but didn’t know it because of a lack of comparison. To use an analogy, it would be like having a migrane headache all your life only to have it taken away and realizing how tremendously better you felt and how much you had actually been suffering before the cure.

You can’t judge and say that there is no way you can find inner peace without Jesus Christ, this you don’t know, you assume. My best friend is a disbeliever and she has true inner peace because she is truthfully happy and has an enormous amount of love in her self and to give. This is true everlasting peace.

That still doesn’t disprove my point. It looks like she has found that connection with Christ even though she may not acknowledge Him by that specific Name. Her will is abiding in love which last time I checked IS doing the will of God and being united with Him. Yeah, that’s an easy argument to topple. Peace out.

All inner peace is a gift of Jesus since all good most great and most miniscule flows from God alone. But then one would have to be pretty arrogant to say that Jesus is confined to Catholicism or to Christianity. Jesus is God and without limit absolutely and can do all things absolutely. All without exemption are God’s children beloved by Him. I am sure, very confident, that there are many very good people outside of Catholicism and Christianity and perhaps even better people than some/many inside these institutions…including very good athiests who are very good people.
When we get to Heaven its not only Catholics and Christians we are going to find there…or at least such I absolutely believe absolutely! And I am sure many athiests toohttp://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_11_9.gif

Barb:)
Laughter is good medicine: An athiest goes to Heaven and St. Peter is showing him around…after a while and for some time they have been walking past a very high and very long wall and the athiest says to St. Peter:
ā€œHey Pete - what is the high wall?ā€
St. Peter replies ā€œOh shhhhh be very quiet and whisper - that is for the Catholics who are sure they are the only ones up hereā€.😃

Why do be bother then to believe in God, praying, doing as Jesus told us to do, going His way and so forth?
It’s a lot easier not to.
We do this, because we want God in our life and we have taken notice, that this is the only satisfying way to live, and, because we are never alone, plus we will have live after death in such incredible beauty and greatness, as no eye ever has seen and no ear ever had heard.

Why don’t you ask this very best person, what she thinks about God, and what about her death, about loneliness and so forth. Surely you’ll look into a deep abyss and you’ll be shocked what huge unsolved problems you’ll find in this person.

And besides, it might be that this person is harmless. But they usually spread atheism widely around. See what Nietzsche has done and others, or look at the quite actual happenings in atheist forums or the London Bus of Atheism and it’s many internet pages, one of them here
justgiving.com/atheistbus

look at the countless unfounded people who have literally nothing in themselves, because they lack God and the strong believe. ā€œshe has true inner peaceā€?
Ha – how do you know – they cover a lot, because they don’t want to know how they really are themselves, they never admit to themselves, that they lack most of what makes life worth living.

I’ve spoken to very many atheists, but NEVER FOUND A SINGLE ONE WHO WAS STABLE in his soul and physiological being or nature.

I remember when I was a child and we where in the ā€œLuftschutzkellerā€ (air-raid shelter) here in Karlsruhe and all these US and British bombers above us and so many houses around us where bombed and fell with unbearable noise into a heap of stones and buried all in them and many lay in the road screaming of the torn off legs, arms and open bellies. My father had a Madonna-statue and a Cross, and I as the oldest child prayed loudly: All the unbelievers too prayed in horror! Atheists prayed and I wonder to whom they’d pray?!
After the war, these same atheists didn’t know a thing about this, and said ā€œI never prayed then; don’t be sillyā€!
I wonder what they say, when they see Jesus after their death!

Some very interesting points Bruno. I’m a catholic, the only ones in my family who practise being a Catholic is myself and my nana, but she is heaven now. i mean who knows it just bugs me that some people don’t see that non believers don’t have true inner peace. Well i judge this by the individual not on what their beliefs are. My best friend is a very factual person, she needs facts. i’m not certain but Im pretty sure that she thinks that when she dies nothing happens. I understand what everyone is saying but I still think that pending on the individual is whether they have true innner peace, not pending on their religion or beliefs.

God bless you all. Tonight I’m going to pray that non believers have inner peace and if they don’t than I hope one day they find it!!!

**Don’t pray for nonbelievers inner peace. They won’t find it anyhow, but simply cover that gap with what they call their freedom an open mindedness, but even that they don’t have, as I pointed out or rather is pointed out in the bible see this post of just now here
forums.catholic-questions.org/showthread.php?t=287938&goto=newpost
let’s rather pray they finally find this open-mindedness, that allows them to finally find their peace in Jesus Christ, which is the one and only peace that fullfills humans life.

Congratulation to you being among those, who’s name is written down in heaven!

ā€œCan disbelievers ever find peace in life?ā€

If they’re strictly secular, I say no. By pinning their hopes and dreams on the world of Man, they’re setting themselves up for tremendous disappointment. I tried that when I was young, idolizing the U.S. Army, as a career soldier. Half-way into my career, I experienced considerable disillusion. There wasn’t anything ā€˜wrong’ with the Army, per se. I’m just not ā€˜wired’ to idolize anything but God. At one point I decided to simply be good at my job, and ignore the politics. I noticed that many of those who continued to claw and chew their way to success, as they perceived it, in the political world, lived miserable lives.

Those who deny God seem to fall into at least two categories: Those who think very superficially and those who have a burning desire to prove that God does not exist. The first are in artificial bliss, seeking and finding worldly things that appeal to their senses. They exhibit a benign ignorance of God, seeking only to live according to His principles, while avoiding Him. If there is a heaven, they hope to enter by default.

The second group are perhaps much more to be pitied: They exist in a living hell, of their own construction. They are driven to deny the Creator, apparently forgetting that you cannot prove a negative. Still sells a lot of books, though. Educated fools, they are, assuming themselves to be the pinnacle of human intelligence. Why don’t they cure the common cold, then?

The first group is always slightly uneasy about life. The second is openly hostile. Neither is happy at their core.

**Hi Bruno, šŸ‘‹
You are 100% correct, in what you say. šŸ‘
However God hates the sin not the sinner! Even a murder, who did other ghastly things is still **a child of God. There is salvation for everyone. Jesus’ death paid the price for every sin ever committed. However, as we all should realize there is also a toll to be paid, even for forgiven sins.

I agree that a mother might not be able to understand how God could love a child’s murderer. I would never attempt to tell a woman that God loved that kind of animal. Some have been able to tell their child’s killer that they ā€œforgaveā€ them. How much greater is the father’s Love?

Remember the Blessed Mother’s son was ā€œmurderedā€, even if it was ā€œlawfulā€, it was unjust! But, it was alsonecessary for our salvation. From every evil come some good. That has been proved since the beginning of time.

Mathhews 7:1-5 shows that no man has any right to define what is right and wrong - ONLY God!
However, those who reject God’s laws and judgments and trust in their own judgments are the ones guilty of judging in the worst sense of the word.
For example, the person that says premarital sex is okay is judging just as much as the person who says it is sin.
What right do we have to judge another human being? (It works both ways.)

We know that God is the ultimate Judge, andwe will submit unto His judgments. The Psalmist said, "With my lips have I declared all the judgments of Thy mouth. " Psalm 119:13

What are God’s judgments? Here are some…

*IDOLATERS (those who love self, anyone, wealth, or anything more than their God) are headed for the lake of fire

*THOSE WHO TAKE GOD’S NAME IN VAIN and THOSE WHO CURSE THEIR NEIGHBORS will be cursed by God

*THOSE WHO DISHONOR THEIR PARENTS will be damned forever

*THOSE WHO INDULGE IN PREMARITAL SEX or EXTRAMARITAL SEX will suffer the eternal torments of fire and brimstone

*HOMOSEXUALS will bear the fierce vengeance of their HOLY CREATOR on the Day of Woe and Doom

*FILTHY PORN-ADDICTS will suffer everlasting punishments

*DRUNKARDS will sup the cup of the wrath of Almighty God

*THOSE WHO MURDER (esp. PRO-CHOICERS who murder innocent babies) will experience the terrible second death

*WITCHES AND SORCERERS will bow to Jesus and confess He is Lord before being bound hand and foot and cast into hell

*LIARS will be condemned by their own words

*THIEVES will pay for their crimes in the courtroom of eternal justice

*THOSE WHO DO NOT SUBMIT TO JESUS will be judged ā€œGuiltyā€ by Him on JUDGMENT DAY, and be cast into eternal hellfire.

All these things can happen. However, through the mercy of God and the sacrifice of Jesus, they don’t have to happen! Isn’t God wonderful?

Praise Jesus!
KC brother Real, So no one going to heaven, except children? Lord brought a New Idea or two: The Keys to Heaven to Peter, And The Church to help save us. A new idea by our Lord so we all don’t go to hell: Repentence and Foregiveness By Our Lord, Through the Apostles, now known as Priests.

Personal question, KC bro Real: Are you The Librarian of the West Pecos or East Pecos branch of the Google Library?

Why not pray that Atheist, Into Self Only friends Find The Lord, His Awesome Church. The more you Know about the History of the Church, And of the history and meaning of the Mass, And See the Proof of Real Presence in those that receive the Eucharist worthily (EWTN), the more you can Appreciate The Church, and help others find it. EWTN ā€œHas it Allā€, every age group.
